The quality of the filling algorithm in additive manufacturing directly affects the strength of the part. The commonly used 3D printing filling algorithm at this stage is the classic filling algorithm. The density of each part in the filling region is the same, and there is a cavity structure in the transverse direction, which makes the strength of the part in the transverse direction lower.

Objective: To investigate the effect of estrogen on the progression of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) in mice and its possible mechanism.
Methods: Twelve-week-old ICR mice were divided into Group A (female control group), group B (ovariectomized(OVX) group), group C (OVX group supplemented with estrogen), and group D (male group) by destabilization of the medial meniscus (DMM)or sham operation. Safranin O staining was performed at 8 weeks and 12 weeks after operation, and the degree of articular cartilage lesion was evaluated using Mankin score.

Uremic cardiomyopathy (UCM) is a common complication in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and an important risk factor for death. P-Cresyl sulfate (PCS) is a damaging factor in UCM, and Klotho is a protective factor. However, the molecular mechanisms of Klotho and PCS in UCM and the relationship between PCS and Klotho are unclear.

Colibacillosis is an acute and chronic avian disease caused by avian pathogenic (APEC). Previous studies have demonstrated that plays a significant role in APEC infection. Moreover, increasing evidence indicates that microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in host-pathogen interactions and the immune response.

Background: The immune response in the tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a crucial role in cancer progression and recurrence. We aimed to develop an immune-related gene (IRG) signature to improve prognostic predictive power and reveal the immune infiltration characteristics of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) PDAC was used to construct a prognostic model as a training cohort.

Background: Receptor interacting serine/threonine kinase 2 (RIP2), ubiquitous in many tissue/cell types, is the key regulator of immune and inflammatory responses for many diseases, including avian pathogenic E. coli (APEC), which causes a wide variety of localized or systemic infections. However, the molecular mechanisms by which RIP2 drives its transcriptional program to affect immune and inflammatory response upon APEC infection remains poorly understood.

Avian pathogenic (APEC) can cause localized or systemic infection, resulting in large economic losses per year, and impact health of humans. Previous studies showed that (receptor interacting serine/threonine kinase 2) and its signaling pathway played an important role in immune response against APEC infection. In this study, chicken HD11 cells were used as an in vitro model to investigate the function of chicken and the transcription factor binding to the core promoter region via gene overexpression, RNA interference, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, dual luciferase reporter assay, CHIP-PCR, CCK-8, and flow cytometry assay following APEC stimulation.

Exercise plays an important role in the process of socialization among young people and children by providing a context in which children can be exposed to the existing rules and values of society. However, the increasing news of unethical behaviors reported in competitive scenarios led the public to suspect the view "sports shape great characters." To investigate the issue and explore potential influencing factors, the study examined the relationship among athletes' perfectionism, achievement goals, and sports ethics based on the achievement goal theory.

Vascular calcification (VC) is a strong predictor of cardiovascular mortality and overall mortality in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD); however, the molecular mechanisms underlying VC have yet to be elucidated. Here, we report the role of the deubiquitinating enzyme BRCC36 in the process of VC in CKD. We established an in vitro VC model of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and an adenine-induced CKD mouse model.

Background: Steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH) is a serious complication caused by long-term or excessive use of glucocorticoids (GCs). General control non-derepressible 5 (GCN5) has been reported to be lowly expressed in bone tissue. Therefore, this paper attempts to investigate the role of GCN5 in SONFH and identify the potential regulatory mechanism.

The ability to cope with environmental abiotic stress and biotic stress is crucial for the survival of plants and microorganisms, which enable them to occupy multiple niches in the environment. Previous studies have shown that transcription factors play crucial roles in regulating various biological processes including multiple stress tolerance and response in eukaryotes. This work identified multiple critical transcription factor genes, metabolic pathways and gene ontology (GO) terms related to abiotic stress response were broadly activated by analyzing the transcriptome of phytopathogenic fungus Alternaria alternata under metal ions stresses, oxidative stress, salt stresses, and host-pathogen interaction.

Alternative splicing (AS) is a ubiquitous, co-transcriptional, and post-transcriptional regulation mechanism during certain developmental processes, such as germ cell differentiation. A thorough understanding of germ cell differentiation will help us to open new avenues for avian reproduction, stem cell biology, and advances in medicines for human consumption. Here, based on single-cell RNA-seq, we characterized genome-wide AS events in manifold chicken male germ cells: embryonic stem cells (ESCs), gonad primordial germ cells (gPGCs), and spermatogonia stem cells (SSCs).

The acetylome is important for maintaining the homeostasis of cells. Abnormal changes can result in the pathogenesis of immunological or neurological diseases, and degeneration can promote the manifestation of cancer. In particular, pharmacological intervention in the acetylome with pan-histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors is clinically validated.

The oxidation of methionine (Met) by reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes detrimental effects on the protein functions. Methionine sulfoxide reductase (Msr) is the secondary antioxidant enzyme involved in protein repair, and is divided into two distinct classes, MsrA and MsrB, although the mechanisms underlying the transcriptional regulation of Msrs remain largely unknown. In this study, the full-length cDNAs encoding MsrA and three alternatively spliced isoforms of MsrB were isolated from the red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum.

Exercise-induced autophagy is associated with physiological left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), and a growing body of evidence suggests that microRNAs (miRNAs) can regulate autophagy-related genes. However, the precise role of miRNAs in exercise induced autophagy in physiological LVH has not been fully defined. In this study, we investigated the microRNA-autophagy axis in physiological LVH and deciphered the underlying mechanism using a rat swimming exercise model.

Nonpharmaceutical therapies such as exercise training and diet intervention are widely used for the treatment of insulin resistance (IR). Although the skeletal muscle is the major peripheral tissue of glucose metabolism under insulin stimulation, the mechanism underlying muscle IR is poorly understood. Using a high-fat diet-induced IR mouse model, we here show that NADPH oxidase 4 (Nox4) upregulation mediates the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that causes metabolic syndrome featuring IR.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), characterized by a progressive impairment of memory and cognition, is a major health problem in both developing and developed countries. Currently, no drugs can reverse the progression of AD. Phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) is a critical component of the cyclic guanosine monophosphate/protein kinase G (cGMP/PKG) signaling pathway in neurons, the inhibition of which has produced neuroprotective effects, and PDE5 inhibitors have recently been thought to be potential therapeutic agents for AD.
