Purpose: This study aimed to explore the effects of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 7 (USP7) on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and the negative regulation of USP7 by microRNA-409-5p (miR-409-5p).

Methods: Clinical data were collected from patients admitted to the Cardiology Department of Yan'an Hospital of Kunming City between July 2020 and July 2021. The participants included patients with AMI (AMI; n = 30), stable angina pectoris (SAP; n = 30), and chest pain syndrome (CPS; n = 30) and healthy controls (n = 30).

School of Disaster and Emergency Medicine, Tianjin University, No. 92, Weijin Road, Nankai District, Tianjin, 300072, China, 86 02287370177307.

Background: Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a highly contagious viral illness. Understanding the long-term trends of HFMD incidence and its epidemic characteristics under the circumstances of the enterovirus 71 (EV71) vaccination program and the outbreak of COVID-19 is crucial for effective disease surveillance and control.

Objective: We aim to give an overview of the trends of HFMD over the past decades and evaluate the impact of the EV71 vaccination program and the COVID-19 pandemic on the epidemic trends of HFMD.

Department of Urology, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital; Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Malignant Tumor Epigenetics and Gene Regulation; Guangdong Provincial Clinical Research Center for Urological Diseases, Sun Yat-sen (Zhongshan) University, Guangzhou, P. R. China.

Background: In this real-world study, we aimed to elucidate the predictive value of tumour-associated stroma for clinical prognostic and therapeutic response in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) by reviewing the clinicopathologic characteristics of 1015 UTUC patients through a nationwide multicenter analysis.

Methods: The tumour-stroma ratio (TSR) was assessed based on tissue sections stained for hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), and patients were further stratified into stroma-high (>50% stroma) and stroma-low group (≤50% stroma). Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression hazard analysis were conducted to assess the survival outcomes of UTUC patients.

Hypoxia plays a critical role in cancer biology. It induces genomic instability, which in turn helps cancer cells respond adaptively to meet the needs of carcinogenesis, cancer progression and relapse. Circular RNA has not been reported among the variety of downstream factors in this adaptive response.

Aberrant alternative splicing has been highlighted as a potential hallmark of cancer. Here, we identify TDP43 (TAR DNA-binding protein 43) as an important splicing regulator responsible for the unique splicing profile in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Clinical data demonstrate that TDP43 is highly expressed in TNBC with poor prognosis.
