The adoption of sustainable energy has increased as a substitute for petroleum derivatives due to growing concerns about environmental degradation caused by pollution and non-renewable energy sources. This study aims to investigate the impact of sustainable energy, green finance, and fossil fuels on the ecology of China. Instead of using traditional intermediaries like CO2 and EF, we employed the ecosystem habitat index to evaluate the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems.

Deciphering the role of lactate as a prognostic indicator in pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis.

Introduction: Serum lactate levels have been recognized as a robust marker for predicting disease severity and survival in many critically ill children but consensus is lacking regarding its utility in diabetic ketoacidosis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between initial lactate levels and disease severity in pediatric patients presenting with diabetic ketoacidosis.

Methods: This single-center retrospective descriptive study involved pediatric patients with diabetic ketoacidosis in the pediatric emergency department between January 2022 and April 2023.

Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) in predicting prognosis of critical pediatric trauma patients: a retrospective study.

Background: This study aimed to compare the predictive value of Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) to Pediatric Risk of Mortality-3 (PRISM-3), Pediatric Trauma Score (PTS), and Pediatric Glasgow Coma Score (pGCS) in determining clinical severity and mortality among critical pediatric trauma patients.

Method: A total of 122 patients monitored due to trauma in the pediatric intensive care unit between 2020 and 2023 were included in the study. Physical examination findings, vital parameters, laboratory values, and all scoring calculations for patients during emergency room admissions and on the first day of intensive care follow-up were recorded.

Background: Our previous study explored the molecular signatures of generalized aggressive periodontitis (GAgP) using gingival tissues through omics-based-whole-genome transcriptomic analysis. This continuation study aimed to investigate the whole protein profiling of these gingival samples through liquid chromatography-mass spectroscopy/mass spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS) analysis and to validate the identified proteins through immunohistochemistry to provide further evidence for the quality of the results.
