To develop a decision tree model based on clinical information, molecular genetics information and pre-operative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics-score (Rad-score) to investigate its predictive value for the risk of recurrence of glioblastoma (GBM) within one year after total resection. Patients with pathologically confirmed GBM at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University between November 2017 and June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, and the enrolled patients were randomly divided into training and test sets according to the ratio of 3:1. The relevant clinical and MRI data of patients before, after surgery and follow-up were collected, and after feature extraction on preoperative MRI, the LASSO filter was used to filter the features and establish the Rad-score.

In this study, highly purified AuNBPs are prepared, followed by coating their surfaces with mesoporous silica (mSiO). The obtained AuNBP@mSiO nanocomplex exhibits an ellipsoidal shape with a relatively large specific surface, pore diameter and pore volume.

Purpose: To investigate the changes of serum prealbumin (PA) expression level in patients with oral and maxillofacial space infections and its significance.
Methods: Patients hospitalized at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2020 to September 2021 were selected and divided into infected and non-infected group. One hundred and twenty-one patients with moderate to severe oral and maxillofacial gap infections were in the infected group, and 128 patients without infection were in the non-infected group.

In this study, a sensitive ratiometric fluorescent nanosensor was constructed using a facile one-pot method by encapsulating carbon dots (CDs) and cadmium telluride quantum dots (CdTe QDs) into the pore cavities of a metal-organic framework (ZIF-8). In this nanosensor (CD/CdTe QD@ZIF-8), the fluorescence attributed to CdTe QDs was quenched by silver ions (Ag), and the fluorescence intensity of CDs did not change. The introduction of ZIF-8 into the system can not only adsorb Ag but also easily separate CDs and CdTe QDs from the matrix.

Rapid, direct and sensitive detection of foodborne bacteria in complex samples is still challenging. Here, we reported a universal surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-based lateral flow assay (LFA) for highly sensitive detection of foodborne bacteria in food and environmental samples using wheat germ agglutinin (WGA)-modified FeO@Au (Au@MNP-WGA) nanotags. The Au@MNP-WGA tag with numerous intraparticle hotspots was integrated into the LFA system for the first time, which can not only greatly improve the detection sensitivity through the dual amplification effect of magnetic enrichment and SERS enhancement but also achieve the broad-spectrum capture of multiple bacteria.

Design and fabrication of novel multifunctional nanomaterials as novel "theranostic nanoagents"with high efficiency and low side effects is important for cancer treatment. Herein, we synthesized manganese-oxide and palladium nanoparticle-co-decorated polypyrrole/graphene oxide (MnO@Pd@PPy/GO) nanocomposites, which could be used as a novel "theranostic nanoagent" for cancer treatment. Various spectroscopic and microscopic characterizations of the synthesized MnO@Pd@PPy/GO nanocomposites suggest that the nanocomposites are assembled sequentially by graphene oxide, polypyrrole, palladium nanoparticles and manganese-oxide nanoplates.

Objective: To determine the dosimetric differences between biological and physical functions of equivalent uniform dose (EUD) and dose volume (DV) therapy in patients with phase III non-small cell lung cancer.
Methods: Four different radiotherapy plans (DV+DV, DV-EUD+DV, EUD+EUD and EUD-DV+EUD) were developed for 15 patients with stage III NSCLC. To study physical function (DV+DV) the target area was optimized by introducing the conditions of biological function optimization, while the organs at risk were optimized by means of physical function (DV-EUD+DV).

Male individuals with a 46, XX karyotype are commonly diagnosed with 46, XX male sex reversal syndrome, one of the rarest sex chromosomal anomalies. In this case, we report a rare XX male with Y-specific DNA sequences located near the end of chromosome 15 p-arm, which was verified by fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) as well as copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq) based on the next- generation sequencing method (>100 Kb). To the best of our knowledge, there have been no reports of XX male with the Yp region transferred to the terminal of chromosome 15 short arm.

To develop an efficient prognostic model based on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the preoperative MRI data of PDAC patients in two independent centers (defined as development cohort and validation cohort, respectively) were collected retrospectively, and the radiomics features of tumors were then extracted. Based on the optimal radiomics features which were significantly related to overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS), the score of radiomics signature (Rad-score) was calculated, and its predictive efficiency was evaluated according to the area under receiver operator characteristic curve (AUC). Subsequently, the clinical-radiomics nomogram which incorporated the Rad-score and clinical parameters was developed, and its discrimination, consistency and application value were tested by calibration curve, concordance index (C-index) and decision curve analysis (DCA).
