Background: Elderly individuals living alone represent a vulnerable group with limited family support, making them more susceptible to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. This study aims to construct a network model of depression and anxiety symptoms among older adults living alone, exploring the correlations and centrality of different symptoms. The goal is to identify core and bridging symptoms to inform clinical interventions.

Wilson's disease (WD) is a hereditary condition marked by abnormalities in copper metabolism, which precipitate a spectrum of neurological symptoms and cognitive impairments. Emerging research has highlighted ferroptosis (FPT) as a distinct type of programmed cell death, potentially linked to various cognitive dysfunctions. Nevertheless, the connection between FPT and cognitive impairment in Wilson's disease (WDCI) remains largely enigmatic.

[Inflammatory factors and prostate cancer: Two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis].

Objective: To evaluate the potential causal relationship between inflammatory factors and PCa using the two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) method.

Methods: We selected summary statistics of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) (n = 14 824) on 91 inflammatory factors, with PCa as the outcome in the latest 9th edition of FinnGen database for MR analysis. We evaluated the causal relationship between inflammatory factors and PCa using the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) of such regression models as inverse variance weighting (IVW), MR-Egger regression, simple mode (SM), weighted mode (WM) and weighted median estimator (WME), with IVW as the main statistical method for this study.

Exploring the causal role of immune cells in vascular dementia: A bidirectional mendelian randomization study.

Background: The aim of this study was to explore the causal association between immune cells and VaD based on a two-sample bidirectional Mendelian randomization study.

Methods: Bidirectional two-sample MR analyses based on pooled datasets from publicly available genome-wide association studies were performed using inverse variance weighted (IVW), weighted median (WE), and MR-Egger regressions to evaluate the causal relationships between immune cells and vascular dementia. Background: Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common forms of sexual dysfunction in men, and multimodal therapeutic regimens should be considered to treat the condition. We developed a Chinese medicine herbal medicine, Shugan Yidan fang that had a significant clinical effect on PE patients, extending the time between penetration and ejaculation. However, the mechanism of this formula remains unclear.

Foretinib Is Effective against Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells MDA-MB-231 In Vitro and In Vivo by Down-Regulating p-MET/HGF Signaling.

This study investigated the antitumor effects of foretinib on triple-negative breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 xenograft tumors in vivo underlying phosphorylated mesenchymal to epithelial transition (p-MET)/ hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)-related mechanism, as well as its pharmacokinetic characteristics. The MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cell line was used for in vitro experiments, and the tumor xenograft model was established for in vivo experiments. MDA-MB-231 xenograft mice received oral foretinib (15 or 50 mg/kg/day) or vehicle for 18 days.

Analysis of aerobic exercise influence on intraocular pressure and ocular perfusion pressure in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma: A randomized clinical trial.

Purpose: To investigate the change pattern of ocular perfusion pressure (OPP) and intra-ocular pressure (IOP) after short-term and long-term aerobic exercise.

Methods: In this prospective, single-masked, randomized clinical trial, 123 patients with a primary open angle glaucoma that locally used prostaglandin analog alone were randomly divided into the exercise and control groups. In the short-term study, all individuals underwent a cycling exercise at moderate intensity (20% Wmax for 10 minutes) and high intensity (60% Wmax for 5 minutes).

Saponins extracted from the stems and leaves of Panax quinquefolium (PQS) protect rat myocardium against ischemia-reperfusion injury, but it is not known if suppression of ERS contributes to cardioprotection.
