A simple and rapid method based on Raman microsphere immunochromatography was developed in this study for the simultaneous detection of influenza A and B viruses and SARS-CoV-2 on a single test T-line. Three types of Raman microspheres with different Raman characteristics were used as the signal sources and were labelled with monoclonal antibodies against FluA, FluB and SARS-CoV-2, respectively. A mixture of antibodies containing anti-FluA monoclonal antibody, anti-FluB monoclonal antibody and anti-SARS-CoV-2 was sprayed on the detection line (T), and goat polyclonal antibody to chicken (IgY) encapsulated on the quality control line (C), for qualitative detection of these three viruses by the double antibody sandwich method.

The objective of our study was to develop predictive models using Visually Accessible Rembrandt Images (VASARI) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features combined with machine learning techniques to predict the World Health Organization (WHO) grade, isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status, and 1p19q co-deletion status of high-grade gliomas. To achieve this, we retrospectively included 485 patients with high-grade glioma from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, of which 312 patients were randomly divided into a training set (n=218) and a test set (n=94) in a 7:3 ratio. Twenty-five VASARI MRI features were selected from an initial set of 30, and three machine learning models - Multilayer Perceptron (MP), Bernoulli Naive Bayes (BNB), and Logistic Regression (LR) - were trained using the training set.

Objective: Whether there is a correlation between zinc-finger E-box-binding homolog 1 (ZEB1) and Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) with clinical outcome in gliomas remains unclear. Hence, this study aimed to investigate the effects of ZEB1 and YAP1 on the prognosis of human gliomas and its relationship with the isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) gene state.

Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was used to record the expression levels of ZEB1, YAP1, and p-YAP1 in 122 cases of low-grade glioma (LGGs) and 69 cases of glioblastoma (GBMs).

This study aimed to explore the mechanism of Cistanches Herba in the treatment of cancer-induced fatigue(CRF) by network pharmacology combined with in vivo and in vitro experiments to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical medication. The chemical constituents and targets of Cistanches Herba were searched from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP). The targets of CRF were screened out by GeneCards and NCBI.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has become a potential anti-cancer strategy owing to its negligible invasiveness, low toxicity, and high selectivity. The photosensitizer (PS) plays an indispensable role in PDT. Herein, a novel type of PS (Ce6-MB@Lips) which can be excited by a near-infrared (NIR) laser was designed and synthesized.

Purpose: To investigate the changes of nutritional status in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC) and analyze the influencing factors during treatment.

Methods: Anthropometry (weight, BMI, waistline, middle circumference of left and right upper arms) and laboratory index(serum prealbumin, serum albumin, transferrins, 25-hydroxyvitamin D) were measured to represent the nutritional status of 50 patients with OSCC before operation, two days, one month and three months after operation. SPSS 24.

Objective: In this study, the hemodynamic parameters of ruptured intracranial aneurysms (IAs) in various studies were summarized and analyzed to provide predictive parameters for IA rupture in clinical work.

Methods: We searched PubMed, Web of science, Embase, and Cochrane databases for articles published before December 2021 to collect data on hemodynamic parameters associated with IA rupture. Differences in wall shear stress (WSS), oscillatory shear index (OSI), and low wall shear stress area (LSA) between ruptured and unruptured IAs in the literature were summarized and analyzed, and the standardized mean difference (SMD) of 95% CI was calculated by Review Manager 5.

Oral cancer, with an around 50% mortality rate, is one of the most common malignancies world-wide. It is often detected in advanced or terminal stage and has a poor prognosis, although substantial progress in cancer management. Microbiome has become an increasingly recognized factor that may contribute to the cancerous development.

Photothermal therapy (PTT) is a popular tumor therapy method, which is based on efficient photothermal nanoagents (PTNs). Clinical Indocyanine Green (ICG), as a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved agent, is an often-used PTN, meanwhile it is also a good near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence contrast agent. However, the further applications of ICG in biomedical fields are limited due to its poor stability.

Objective: Glioblastomais is one of the main universal, primary brain cancers, in adults, that has an extremely poor clinical prognosis and a median living period of 12-15 months, accounting for nearly 3-4% of all cancer-related deaths. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play key roles in cancer pathogenesis by binding the specific and complementary sequences of the 3'UTR of target mRNAs to regulate protein synthesis. Therefore, recognizing functional miRNAs and the fundamental molecular mechanisms will offer novel evidences for the progress of targeted malignancy interferences.

Objective: Using a canine model of atrial fibrillation (AF) induced by chronic pacing of left atrial fibrillation, the present study aimed to investigate the protein expression and content change of Notch-1 and its downstream target genes including Hes1, Jagged1, and SERCA2a in the atrial myocardium of canines with chronic AF. Furthermore, the correlation between Notch-1/Hes1/Jagged1 and the SERCA2a calcium pump was also analyzed.

Methods: Ten healthy Beagle dogs including both males and females, aged 7-9 years were randomly divided into a sham group (n = 5) and AF group (n = 5).

This case-control study explored the relationship between SNPs in miR-221 and self-reported essential hypertension, as well as interactions between genetic and environmental factors, in a multiethnic Chinese cohort. A MassArray analysis was performed to genotype 462 patients with essential hypertension and 442 healthy participants. The association between four SNPs in miR-221 and essential hypertension risk was determined by investigating the differences in allelic and genotypic frequencies between case and control groups using PLINK version 1.
