Design: Preconceptional couples (n = 993) attempting pregnancy without contraception provided information on serum AMH concentrations and essential covariates. They were followed up for 12 months or until a clinically recognized pregnancy occurred between August 2013 and April 2015. The aim of this study was to examine the consistency of ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-TMS) in detecting the levels of para-arachidonic acids (PAAs) among differently processed plasma/serum samples. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)-K2, sodium citrate, heparin lithium, coagulant/separation gel, and coagulant-free vacuum blood-sampling tubes were used to collect the fasting blood samples from 15 volunteers. All blood samples were subjected to solid-phase extraction using an Oasis HLB μElution 96-well plate, and UPLC-TMS was used to detect 19 types of PAAs in the blood samples.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), produced by cystanthionine-γ-lysase (CSE) in the cardiovascular system, is an endogenous gaseous mediator exerting pronounced physiological effects as the third gasotransmitter in addition to nitric oxide (NO) and carbon monoxide (CO). Left ventricular noncompaction cardiomyopathy (LVNC) is a relatively rare congenital disorder prominently characterized by prominent trabeculations and intertrabecular recesses that communicate with the ventricular cavity rather than the coronary circulation. LVNC can occur in isolation or coexist with other cardiac and/or systemic anomalies, in especial neuromuscular disorders.
