Objective: A prospective trial was conducted to investigate the platelet function and association between thrombelastographic (TEG) parameters and embolic or hemorrhagic complications in patients with intracranial aneurysm undergoing stent treatment.

Methods: Between September 2013 and June 2016, we prospectively recruited patients with intracranial aneurysm who were treated with stent-assisted coiling. TEG parameters were used to assess the platelet function before stenting procedures.

[Acupuncture with twirling reducing method for tinnitus of excessive liver-fire type:a clinical observation].

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture with twirling reducing method for tinnitus of excessive liver-fire type.

Methods: One hundred and one patients with tinnitus of excessive liver-fire type were randomly divided into a twirling reducing method group (35 cases), a needle retaining group (33 cases) and a physical therapy group (33 cases). The patients in the twirling reducing method group were treated by acupuncture at Tinggong (SI 19), Tinghui (GB 2), Yifeng (TE 17), Zhongzhu (TE 3), Waiguan (TE 5), Xiaxi (GB 43), Taichong (LR 3), Qiuxu (GB 40), while the strong low-frequency twirling reducing method was applied at Xiaxi (GB 43) and Taichong (LR 3); the patients in the needle retaining group were treated with identical acupoints and needle insertion manipulation, but no reducing method was applied after needle insertion.

To date, the clinical manifestations, imaging characteristics and mechanism of MMD-induced MSIH have not yet been elucidated. In order to improve the understanding on such cases, the present study described a rare case of MSIH caused by MMD.

May-Thurner syndrome (MTS) is caused by venous occlusion because of compression of the iliac vein by the iliac artery and vertebral body, leading to left lower extremity deep venous thrombosis, eventually resulting in a series of symptoms. Endovascular treatment has now become the most preferred method of treatment of MTS. The authors report a 66-year-old woman who was hospitalized because of increasing swelling in her left lower limb for almost 2 weeks.

Lgr5 Methylation in Cancer Stem Cell Differentiation and Prognosis-Prediction in Colorectal Cancer.

Objective: Leucine-rich-repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5 (lgr5) is a candidate marker for colorectal cancer stem cells (CSC).
