High-dose Dex can delay patient awakening from anesthesia and increase the incidence of bradycardia.

However, investigations into its protective impact and underlying mechanisms on diabetic retinopathy are scant.

Background: The pathophysiology of diabetic retinopathy (DR) is thought to be influenced by oxidative stress. Astaxanthin (ASX) is a natural product with antioxidant effect, but it is not clear whether its mechanism of inhibiting the development of DR is related to anti-oxidation.

Methods: Rats were intraperitoneally injected with streptozotocin (60 mg/kg) to create DR rat models followed by ASX (20 mg/kg) for 45 days.

Background: Glioblastoma (GBM) is a primary malignant tumour with high intracranial morbidity, high malignancy and poor prognosis. Methods: Expression of LINC00649 and miR-216a-3p in cervical cancer was detected by reverse transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).

Effects of Vitamin C Combined with Growth Inhibitors on Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Cirrhosis.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of vitamin C combined with growth inhibitors on serum miR-130a, nitric oxide (NO), and hemostasis in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) in cirrhosis. Eighty patients with cirrhosis UGIB treated in our hospital from March 2021 to March 2022 were selected and divided into two groups using the random number table method. The control group received growth inhibitor treatment, while the observation group was given vitamin C combined with growth inhibitor treatment for 3 d.
