Background: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the most prevalent lung cancer subtype, presents significant treatment challenges. Cisplatin (CP)-based regimens are central to the treatment of multiple solid tumors, but its use is restricted due to its dose-related renal toxicity. We previously found that fluorofenidone {1-[3-fluorophenyl]-5-methyl-2-[(1H)]-pyridone (AKF-PD)} effectively reverses CP-induced acute kidney injury (AKI).

Background: High-dose methotrexate (HD-MTX) is commonly employed in the treatment of malignant tumors in children and young adults due to its distinctive therapeutic efficacy. Subcutaneous adipose tissue is an immunonutritional indicator, and NLR reflects the inflammatory status. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the validity of SAT/NLR as potential prognostic biomarkers in HCC patients who are undergoing liver resection.

Belumosudil in pediatric patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease after failed multi-line therapy: a case series.

Belumosudil is a selective small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated coiled-coil kinase 2 (ROCK2) indicated for patients with glucocorticoid-refractory chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). Despite its approval for ages 12-18, there is limited pediatric data available. This case series presents three 12-year-old patients with severe cGVHD who had failed multiple lines of therapy.

Background: The compromised well-being of educators engenders a range of educational, social, and economic issues that cannot be adequately addressed through the mere awareness of risk factors. The present research explores the mediating roles of self-compassion and emotion regulation strategies (cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression) on the relationship between academic teachers' psychological resilience and mental health.

Methods: A total of 405 academic teachers from four colleges in Tabuk City, Saudi Arabia, participated in the study between September and November 2023.

Methods: This retrospective analysis included 43 patients (86 lateral cases) who received BTX-A injections for masseter hypertrophy.

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the common malignant tumors, and most patients with advanced GC often develop chemotherapy resistance, resulting in poor chemotherapy efficacy. Therefore, it is crucial to clarify the specific mechanisms of their chemotherapy resistance. In this study, we analyzed the correlation between fos-related antigen-1 (Fra-1) and chemotherapy resistance in GC using bioinformatics, cell counting kit-8 (CCK8), and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EDU) combined with flow cytometry; furthermore, we used energy metabolomics sequencing, combined with ChIP-qPCR technology, to elucidate the specific role of Fra-1 in chemotherapy resistance of GC cells and its related mechanisms.
