Consensus has been reached about the important role of partner notification (PN) for HIV prevention and control programs. We used a qualitative study to explore facilitators of and barriers to PN to understand reasons for disclosure and nondisclosure by people living with HIV in China. Our main goal was to identify information related to PN that may be unique to the Chinese cultural context.

Two new flavonoids, 5,4'-dihydroxy-6,7-furanbavachalcone (), 1″-methoxy-6,7-furanflavanone (), together with five known compounds (-), were isolated from the seeds of Their structures were elucidated by IR, UV, NMR, HRESMS experiments, and comparison of their NMR data with previously reported data. All compounds were evaluated for inhibitory activity against PTP1B. Additionally, the isolated compounds (-) displayed moderate inhibitory effects against PTP1B with IC values ranging from 10.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the status and characteristics of resilience among empty-nest elderly in a community in China using exploratory latent class analysis (LCA).

Methods: This study enrolled 250 empty-nest elderly as the study respondents. General information regarding the resilience of empty-nest elderly was investigated using the General Information Questionnaire and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, Chinese version, and we then used LCA and multivariate logistic regression to discuss the characteristics of resilience among empty-nest elderly individuals.

Introduction: Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) often have multiple hospitalisations because of exacerbation. Evidence shows disease management programmes are one of the most cost-effective measures to prevent re-hospitalisation for COPD exacerbation, but lack implementation and economic appraisal in China.
