Importance: The impact of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase administration following near-complete to complete reperfusion by endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for acute ischemic stroke is unknown.

Objective: To assess the efficacy and adverse events of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase in patients with large vessel occlusion stroke who had achieved near-complete to complete reperfusion (defined as a score on the expanded Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction [eTICI] scale of 2c to 3) after EVT.

Design, Setting, And Participants: Investigator-initiated, randomized, open-label, blinded outcome assessment trial implemented at 34 hospitals in China among 540 patients with stroke due to proximal intracranial large vessel occlusion within 24 hours of the time they were last known to be well, with an eTICI score of 2c to 3 after EVT, and without prior intravenous thrombolysis.

Article Synopsis
  • The incidence of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is rising, with a focus on the role of circular RNAs (circRNAs) and m6A modifications in cancer progression, particularly in PTC.
  • Recent research highlights the circRNA hsa_circ_0136959, which is downregulated in PTC samples and its overexpression can mitigate malignant traits in PTC cells while enhancing ferroptosis-related markers.
  • The study also indicates that METTL3 facilitates the expression of hsa_circ_0136959 through m6A modification, linking it to the regulation of tumor characteristics in PTC.

Objective: Muscle wasting frequently occurs following joint trauma. Previous research has demonstrated that joint distraction in combination with treadmill exercise (TRE) can mitigate intra-articular inflammation and cartilage damage, consequently delaying the advancement of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). However, the precise mechanism underlying this phenomenon remains unclear.

Background: Studies have shown that oral oxycontin tablets can be used for opioid titration. The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) guidelines for adult cancer pain recommend opioid titration through the parenteral route, usually the intravenous or subcutaneous route. Patient-controlled subcutaneous analgesia (PCSA) with hydromorphone needs further evaluation for opioid titration.

Delayed wound healing is a public issue that imposes a significant burden on both society and the patients themselves. To date, although numerous methods have been developed to accelerate the speed of wound closure, the therapeutic effects are partially limited due to the complex procedures, high costs, potential side effects, and ethical concerns. While some studies have reported that the in-vivo application of Human Parathyroid Hormone (1-34) (hPTH(1-34)) promotes the wound-healing process, the definitive role and underlying mechanisms through which it regulates the behavior of fibroblasts and keratinocytes remains unclear.
