Chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR T cells) with T stem (T) cell-like phenotypic characteristics promote sustained antitumor effects. We performed an unbiased and automated high-throughput screen of a kinase-focused compound set to identify kinase inhibitors (KIs) that preserve human T cell-like CAR T cells. We identified three KIs, UNC10225387B, UNC10225263A and UNC10112761A, that combined in vitro increased the frequency of CD45RACCR7TCF1 T cell-like CAR T cells from both healthy donors and patients with cancer.

Resonance frequency (RF) is characterized as the specific frequency at which a system, equipped with delayed self-correction or negative feedback mechanisms, exhibits maximal amplitude oscillations in response to an external stimulus of a particular frequency. Emerging evidence suggests that the cardiovascular system has an inherent RF, and that breathing at this frequency can markedly enhance health and cardiovascular function. However, the efficacy of resonance frequency breathing (RFB) and the specific responses of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and central nervous systems during RFB remain unclear.

Acute liver failure (ALF) is marked by a substantial generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can induce both cellular senescence and a pronounced inflammatory response. Senescent cells secrete factors collectively termed the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), which exacerbate inflammation, while inflammation can reciprocally promote cellular senescence. Quercetin (Que), recognized for its ROS-scavenging capabilities, holds the potential for anti-inflammatory and anti-senescent effects.

Direct regeneration of spent lithium-ion batteries offers economic benefits and a reduced CO2 footprint. Surface prelithiation, particularly through the molten salt method, is critical in enhancing spent cathode repair during high-temperature annealing. However, the sluggish Li+ transport kinetics, which relies on thermally driven processes in the traditional molten salt methods, limit the prelithiation efficiency and regeneration of spent cathodes.

Electrocatalytic urea synthesis from carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrate (NO3-) offers a promising alternative to traditional industrial methods. However, current catalysts face limitations in the supplies of CO* and Nrelated* intermediates, and their coupling, resulting in unsatisfactory urea production efficiency and energy consumption. To overcome these challenges, we carried out tandem electrosynthesis approach using ruthenium dioxide-supported palladium-gold alloys (Pd2Au1/RuO2).

The Waddington landscape was initially proposed to depict cell differentiation, and has been extended to explain phenomena such as reprogramming. The landscape serves as a concrete representation of cellular differentiation potential, yet the precise representation of this potential remains an unsolved problem, posing significant challenges to reconstructing the Waddington landscape. The characterization of cellular differentiation potential relies on transcriptomic signatures of known markers typically.

The two-dimensional (2D) "sandwich" structure composed of a cation plane located between two anion planes, such as anion-rich CrI, VS, VSe, and MnSe, possesses exotic magnetic and electronic structural properties and is expected to be a typical base for next-generation microelectronic, magnetic, and spintronic devices. However, only a few 2D anion-rich "sandwich" materials have been experimentally discovered and fabricated, as they are vastly limited by their conventional stoichiometric ratios and structural stability under ambient conditions. Here, we report a 2D anion-rich NaCl crystal with sandwiched structure confined within graphene oxide membranes with positive surface potential.

By using a tight-binding model, first-principles calculations, and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations, we theoretically demonstrate that the C76-Td-assembled two-dimensional (2D) honeycomb lattice is stable at room temperature and is resistant to mechanical deformation. We disclose that each C76-Td mimics a single carbon atom (geometrically and electronically); hence, it plays the role of one supercarbon. This inspires that the 2D material exhibits an exotic hourglass-like fermion at the Fermi level.

Background: Polymerase delta-interacting protein 2 (Poldip2) is a novel regulator of vascular permeability that has been shown to be involved in aggravating blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption following stroke; however, the underlying mechanisms are unknown. While endothelial tight junctions (TJ) are critical mediators of BBB permeability, the effect of Poldip2 on TJ function has not been elucidated yet. Here, we aim to define the mechanism by which Poldip2 mediates BBB disruption, specifically focusing on phosphorylation and stabilization of the TJ integral protein ZO-1.
