J Control Release

January 2025

Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Soochow University, DuShuHu High Education Zone, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province 215123, China. Electronic address:

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) play an important role in the development of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), including metastasis, invasion, tumorigenicity, and drug resistance. Moreover, non-CSCs can spontaneously transform into CSCs in special tumor microenvironments, thereby leading to poor prognosis or even failed treatments. Therefore, reversing CSCs into normal tumor cells in a sustained-acting manner is a promising strategy.

Conditional Relay Activation of Theranostic Prodrug by Pretargeting Bioorthogonal Trigger and Fluorescence-Guided Visible Light Irradiation.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

December 2024

Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology, Jiangsu Province Engineering Research Center of Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics Development, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University, Suzhou, 215123, China.

Bioorthogonalized light-responsive click-and-uncage platform has enabled precise cell surface engineering and timed payload release, but most of such photoactivatable prodrugs have "always-on" photoactivity leading to the dark toxicity. On the other hand, the conditionally activatable photocage is limited to the application of fluorogenic probe/photosensitizer liberation. Herein, we devise a conditionally activatable theranostic platform based on the tetrazine (Tz)-boron-dipyrromethene (BODIPY) construct, in which tetrazine serves as a quencher motif to disable both the fluorescence and photoresponsivity of BODIPY.

ACS Nano

January 2025

Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials (FUNSOM), Joint International Research Laboratory of Carbon-Based Functional Materials and Devices, Soochow University, Suzhou 215123, P. R. China.

Triboelectrification-based artificial mechanoreceptors (TBAMs) is able to convert mechanical stimuli directly into electrical signals, realizing self-adaptive protection and human-machine interactions of robots. However, traditional contact-electrification interfaces are prone to reaching their deformation limits under large pressures, resulting in a relatively narrow linear range. In this work, we fabricated mechano-graded microstructures to modulate the strain behavior of contact-electrification interfaces, simultaneously endowing the TBAMs with a high sensitivity and a wide linear detection range.

"My name is bond. Green bond." Informational efficiency of climate finance markets.

J Environ Manage

January 2025

Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

This paper investigates the informational efficiency of green bond markets using a recently introduced quantitative measure for market inefficiency. The paper finds that, first, the degree of inefficiency of the green bond market is very similar to that of benchmark bond markets; in addition, fundamental factors that drive bond prices in general also drive prices for green bonds. The green bond market, however, is less affected by challenging environments such as the COVID outbreak in 2020 and the inflation shock in 2022/2023 than the benchmark markets.

Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are well established in handling local features in visual tasks; yet, they falter in managing complex spatial relationships and long-range dependencies that are crucial for medical image segmentation, particularly in identifying pathological changes. While vision transformer (ViT) excels in addressing long-range dependencies, their ability to leverage local features remains inadequate. Recent ViT variants have merged CNNs to improve feature representation and segmentation outcomes, yet challenges with limited receptive fields and precise feature representation persist.
