Background: Chronic inflammation plays a pivotal role in cancer progression, with tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) actively shaping the pre-metastatic niche. Interleukin-37 (IL-37), a known immunosuppressive cytokine, is implicated in this regulation, although its precise function remains underexplored. Therefore, this study seeks to further elucidate the inhibitory effect of IL-37d on neutrophil recruitment within the pre-metastatic lung microenvironment and its underlying mechanisms, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for clinical interventions in the early stages of cancer progression.

Due to the lack of real-time planning for fire escape routes in large buildings, the current route planning methods fail to adequately consider factors related to the fire situation. This study introduces a real-time fire monitoring and dynamic path planning system based on an improved ant colony algorithm, comprising a hierarchical arrangement of upper and lower computing units. The lower unit employs an array of sensors to collect environmental data in real time, which is subsequently transmitted to an upper-level computer equipped with LabVIEW.

A reasonable land use development around subway stations can balance the utilization rates of the subway system during peak and off-peak hours, thereby enhancing its service levels and operational efficiency. Analyzing the temporal distribution patterns of passenger flow and their influencing factors is crucial for determining the optimum ratio of each land use type surrounding metro stations. Thus, this paper employs principal component analysis (PCA) at first to investigate the temporal distribution of metro ridership, and identify their main patterns and factor loadings.

In the process of metal wire and additive manufacturing, due to changes in temperature, humidity, current, voltage, and other parameters, as well as the failure of machinery and equipment, a failure may occur in the manufacturing process that seriously affects the current situation of production efficiency and product quality. Based on the demand for monitoring of the key impact parameters of additive manufacturing, this paper develops a parameter monitoring and prediction system for the additive manufacturing feeding process to provide a basis for future fault diagnosis. The fault diagnosis and prediction system for metal wire supply and additive manufacturing utilizes STM 32 as its core, enabling the capture and transmission of temperature, humidity, current, and voltage data.

Currently, although energy conservation related research in buildings is a matter of great urgency in the context of an ever more serious energy crisis, people seem to pay more attention on the field of civil engineering, such as the design, construction, monitoring and maintenance management of building structures. This is also evidenced by the authors' extensive research and strong practical engineering experience in infrastructure projects such as bridges. This study first presents the general building energy situation.

The acquisition of self-directed learning abilities can help undergraduate nursing students augment their theoretical knowledge and refine their clinical practice skills, thus fulfilling the demand from patients for high-quality nursing services. Hence, comprehending and investigating the factors that influence the development of self-directed learning abilities in nursing students is of paramount importance for nursing education and advancement of the nursing profession.

We conduct a comprehensive theoretical analysis of wurtzite GaInN ternary alloys, focusing on their structural, electronic, elastic, piezoelectric, and dielectric properties through rigorous first-principles calculations. Our investigation systematically explores the influence of varying Ga composition ( = 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) on the alloy properties. Remarkably, we observe a distinctive non-linear correlation between the band gap and Ga concentration, attributable to unique slopes in the absolute positions of the valence band maximum and conduction band minimum with respect to Ga concentration.

Researchers in the field of sustainable management have recently dedicated significant efforts to understand why organizations exhibit diverse responses to environmental responsibilities. Ethical scholars assert that internal management plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainability because of its attitude toward sustainable issues. In alignment with this perspective, our study formulates a framework for internal monitoring that underscores the significance of independent, female, international, and politically connected directors.

Current research in the field of environmental management has placed significant emphasis on understanding the reasons behind varying organizational responses to environmental responsibilities. Governance scholars emphasize the central role of institutional factors in shaping environmental responsibilities, primarily due to the substantial influence exerted by regulatory institutions. Drawing on institutional theory, we investigate how sub-national institutional factors impact a firm's green investment intensity and explore their moderating influence on the relationship between green investment and a firm's financial performance.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is gradually penetrating the domain of education, opening up many possibilities for teaching and learning. Many educators, faced with the burden of commenting on substantial student essays, have introduced automated writing evaluation (AWE) into second language (L2) writing considering its affordance of immediate scores and diagnostic information. However, students' processing strategies and perceptions of such computer-generated feedback and its impact on student writing quality, particularly as mediated by language proficiency, remain under-explored.

Syntactic complexity, widely acknowledged as a key predictor of writing quality, has gained increasing attention in the realm of academic writing. A notable line of inquiry has centered on the factors that potentially influence syntactic complexity in academic writing. Instead of attending to one factor, the study focuses on multiple factors to examine how language background affects syntactic complexity across years and disciplines.

The station-level ridership during the peak hour is one of the key indicators for the design of station size and relevant facilities. However, with the operation of metro system, it cannot be ignored that, in many cities, the station peak and the city peak may not be simultaneously occurred. As the current ridership forecasting methods use the city peak as the point of reference, stations with wide differences of ridership in between would experience disorders due to serious underestimates of passenger demand during the actual peak.

This work's goal was the fabrication of a graphene oxide-based nanocomposite biosensor for the determination of bevacizumab (BVZ) as a medicine for colorectal cancer in human serum and wastewater fluids. For the fabrication electrode, graphene oxide was electrodeposited on GCE (GO/GCE), and then DNA and monoclonal anti-bevacizumab antibodies were immobilized on the GO/GCE surface, respectively (Ab/DNA/GO/GCE). Structural characterization using XRD, SEM, and Raman spectroscopy confirmed the binding of DNA to GO nanosheets and the interaction of Ab with the DNA/GO array.
