In this paper, we studied the diffusion characteristics and distribution patterns of gas leakage in soil from buried natural gas pipelines. The three-dimensional simulation model of buried natural gas pipeline leakage was established using Fluent software. Monitoring points of gas leakage mole fraction were set up at different locations, and the influence of buried depth and pressure factors on the mole fraction and diffusion of leaked gas was analyzed.

This work aims to address key issues in the ballistic performance of ceramic-based composite armor, particularly at the joints of spliced bulletproof panels. The edge structure of C/C-SiC ceramic plates and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is redesigned to superimpose the joint areas. Coordination complexes are promising candidates for powerful electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction but challenges remain in favoring the kinetics behaviors through local coordination regulation. Herein, by refining the synergy of carboxylate anions and multiconjugated benzimidazole ligands, we tailor a series of well-defined and stable coordination complexes with three-dimensional supramolecular/coordinated structures. The coordinated water as potential open coordination sites can directly become intermediates, while the metal center easily achieves re-coordination with water molecules in the pores to resist lattice oxygen dissolution.

The demand for temperature-robust electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption materials is escalating due to the varying operational temperatures of electronic devices, which can easily soar up to 100 °C, significantly affecting EMW interference management. Traditional absorbers face performance degradation across broad temperature ranges due to alterations in electronic mobility and material impedance. This study presented a novel approach by integrating semiconductor metal-organic frameworks (SC-MOFs) with paraffin wax (PW), leveraging the precise control of interlayer spacing in SC-MOFs for electron mobility regulation and the introduction of paraffin wax for temperature-inert electromagnetic properties.

Herein, SUMO-LUMO inversion (SLI) radicals - were designed by the combination of the tris(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) radical and pyridinium derivatives (electron-withdrawing groups) for the first time. The energy of the LUMO lies below that of the SUMO, which deviated from the Aufbau principle as an alternative electronic configuration beyond the well-established SOMO-HOMO inversed system. Thus, for SLI radicals, the injection of one extra electron preferred to occupy the LUMO rather than the SUMO, giving diradicals, one of which had been fully confirmed by single crystal analysis, VT-NMR and VT-EPR experiments, as well as DFT calculations.

Objective: To explore the relationship between meniscus compression and the severity of knee osteoarthritis.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective case-control study included 95 patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to July 2023, who were grouped into slight protrusion of meniscus group (n = 48) and severe protrusion of meniscus group (n = 47) according to the degree of meniscal extrusion. Various parameters, including Kellgren/Lawrence classification, imaging findings, cartilage damage grading, physical function assessments, and correlation analyses, were used to evaluate the relationship between meniscal extrusion and disease progression.

Emotional flexibility refers to an individual's ability to change emotional responses in constantly changing environments to adapt to different situations. This study aims to use the Emotional Switching Task (EST) paradigm, combined with Electroencephalogram (EEG) technology and behavioral experiments, to explore the impact of emotional valence shift directions and preparation effects on the switching cost of emotional flexibility. The results found that when individuals switch from positive emotional valence to positive emotional valence, the switching cost is smaller than other transition directions.
