Background: Pulmonary hypertension, characterized by vascular remodeling, currently lacks curative therapeutic options. The dysfunction of pulmonary artery endothelial cells plays a pivotal role in the initiation and progression of pulmonary hypertension (PH). ErbB3 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 3), also recognized as HER3, is a member of the ErbB family of receptor tyrosine kinases.

Acarbose is a widely used α-glucosidase inhibitor for the management of postprandial hyperglycemia in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Recent pilot studies on acarbose bioequivalence (BE) have successfully identified additional pharmacodynamic (PD) parameters as valid end points. Nevertheless, there was a scarcity of published pivotal studies using novel PD parameters.

Programmed cell death plays a pivotal role in maintaining tissue homeostasis, and recent advancements in cell biology have uncovered PANoptosis-a novel paradigm integrating pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis. This study investigates the implications of PANoptosis in melanoma, a formidable skin cancer known for its metastatic potential and resistance to conventional therapies. Leveraging bulk and single-cell transcriptome analyses, machine learning modeling, and immune correlation assessments, we unveil the molecular intricacies of PANoptosis in melanoma.

Keloids, which are abnormal manifestations of wound healing, can result in significant functional impairment and aesthetic deformities. The pathogenesis of keloids is multifaceted and complex and influenced by various factors, such as genetics, the environment, and immune responses. The evolution of keloid treatment has progressed from traditional surgical excision to a contemporary combination of therapies including injection and radiation treatments, among others.

Background: Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a common form of chronic glomerulonephritis. Currently, IgAN is one of the main causes of chronic renal failure in China; its prognosis varies greatly between patients, with renal function at the time of diagnosis and prognosis being strongly correlated. Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is a drug with a good immunomodulatory effect and is commonly used clinically.

Objectives: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are one of the most significant oncological treatment modalities as a result of the rapid advancement of immunotherapy. Programmed Cell Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) and tumor mutational burden (TMB) have emerged as key markers for predicting the efficacy and prognosis of ICIs in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and the predictive role of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) has also received significant attention. However, the prognosis of some individuals cannot be determined by these indicators; for instance, some patients with low PD-L1 expression also benefit from longer survival.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a lethal progressive disease with elusive molecular mechanisms and limited therapeutic options. Aberrant activation of fibroblasts is a central hallmark of lung fibrosis. Here, we report that Golgi membrane protein 1 (GOLM1, also known as GP73 or GOLPH2) was increased in the lungs of patients with pulmonary fibrosis and mice with bleomycin (BLM)-induced pulmonary fibrosis.

Purpose: Irrespective of the development of acupuncture-based interventions, clinical evidence regarding their efficacy remains controversial owing to issues with the study design and an unclear risk of bias. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of auricular acupuncture in managing taste alterations in patients with cancer undergoing platinum-based chemotherapy.
Methods: We conducted a pilot randomized controlled trial involving 73 patients randomly assigned to an auricular acupuncture or a control group.

The pathogenesis of leukemia is complex and there are no effective diagnostic and prognostic indicators. Previous studies showed that microRNA-22 (miR-22) has altered expression level in multiple leukemia subtypes, which is associated with the survival outcomes of leukemia. According to the constituted retrieval strategy, eligible studies were included from January 2010 to November 2022 by searching database.

A chemiluminescent immunoassay for human serum Cystatin C (Cys C) was established using a direct-antibody sandwich model. The immunoassay kit uses magnetic separation technology, using magnetic particles as the reaction solid phase, alkaline phosphatase as the marker enzyme, and a new chemiluminescent substrate APLS as the substrate. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity and short reaction time.

Objective: In recent years, the utilization of indocyanine green near-infrared (ICG NIR) light imaging-guided lymph node dissection in the context of minimally invasive radical gastric cancer has emerged as a novel avenue for investigation. The objective of this study was to assess the influence of employing this technique for guiding lymph node dissection on the short-term clinical outcomes of minimally invasive radical gastric cancer surgery.
Methods: The present study conducted a comprehensive search for short-term clinical outcomes, comparing the group undergoing ICG NIR light imaging-guided lymph node dissection with the control group, by thoroughly examining relevant literature from the inception to July 2023 in renowned databases such as PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive and highly lethal inflammatory interstitial lung disease characterized by aberrant extracellular matrix deposition. Macrophage activation by cytokines released from repetitively injured alveolar epithelial cells regulates the inflammatory response, tissue remodeling, and fibrosis throughout various phases of IPF. Our previous studies demonstrate that nuclear factor of activated T cells cytoplasmic member 3 (NFATc3) regulates a wide array of macrophage genes during acute lung injury pathogenesis.
