Objective: To explore the value of early comprehensive intervention of skin contact combined with breastfeeding on improving early blood glucose in newborns with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).

Methods: A total of 300 newborns from pregnant women with gestational diabetes who were hospitalized in Wuxi People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021 were randomly assigned into the observation group ( = 150) and the control group ( = 150). The former group received early comprehensive intervention of skin contact combined with breastfeeding, and the latter group received postnatal naked contact, physical examination after late navel severing, and routine nursing intervention such as early contact and early sucking in 30 min.

Molecular mechanism of interaction between the bloom-forming cyanobacterial species and attached microbios within cyanobacterial aggregates has not been elucidated yet and understanding of which would help to unravel the cyanobacteria bloom-forming mechanism. In this study, we profiled the metabolically active community by high-throughput metatranscriptome sequencing from cyanobacterial aggregates during cyanobacterial bloom period in Lake Taihu, China. A total of 308 million sequences were obtained using the HiSeq 2500 sequencing platform, which provided a great sequence coverage to carry out the in-depth taxonomic classification, functional classification, and metabolic pathway analysis of the cyanobacterial aggregates.

Src homology 2 domain containing (SHC) is a proto-oncogene which mediates cell proliferation and carcinogenesis in human carcinomas. Here, the SHC SH2-domain binding protein 1 (SHCBP1) was first established to be up-regulated in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues by array-base comparative genome hybridization (aCGH). Meanwhile, we examine and verify it by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot.

The epidermal differentiation complex (EDC) contains a large number of gene products which are crucial for the maturation of the human epidermis and can contribute to skin diseases, even carcinogenesis. It is generally acepted that activation of oncogenes and/or inactivation of tumor suppressor genes play pivotal roles in the process of carcinogenesis. Here, NICE-3, a novel EDC gene, was found to be up-regulated in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by quantitative real-time RT-PCR.

Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cytokeratin-19-fragment (CYFRA21-1) in lung cancer patients.

Methods: The levels of serum CEA and CYFRA21-1 were measured in 102 patients with lung cancer, 45 patients with benign lung disease and 36 health controls by electrochemiluminescence.

Results: The level of serum CEA and positive rate [(25.

Department of Cardiology, Affiliated People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Wuxi Municipal People's Hospital, Wuxi 214023, China.

Objective: to investigate the regulation in vascular tension of diabetic coronary artery by large conductance Ca(2+)-activated K(+) channel (BK channel) and to elucidate the mechanisms of coronary dysfunctions due to diabetes.

Methods: regulation of vascular tension in normal coronary artery was evaluated by videomicroscopy system. Streptozotocin-induced rat diabetic animal model was established successfully by intraperitoneal injection.
