Background And Importance: Enterogenic cysts often occur along the spinal axis and are frequently associated with congenital spinal malformations. The special location of the lesion can limit the surgical resection to achieve complete removal. In this report, the authors describe a successful case of complete resection of a ventral enterogenic cyst in the cervical spinal cord using a posterior midline approach in the lateral position.

Rapid development of resistance to sorafenib and subsequent hyperprogression in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) pose significant challenges, with the underlying mechanisms still largely unknown. Herein, sorafenib-induced TRIB3 is identified as a liver-specific determinant driving secondary resistance to sorafenib by facilitating the accumulation of protumorigenic neutrophils within tumors. Mechanistically, TRIB3, triggered by the sorafenib-elicited ROS-ER stress axis, operates in an NF-κB-dependent manner to upregulate CXCR1/2 ligands, subsequently promoting neutrophil recruitment into tumors.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is widely acknowledged as an ocular complication of diabetes mellitus involving retinal inflammation and secondary neuro/microvascular degeneration. Müller glial cells play a crucial role in regulating retinal homeostasis and neuroinflammation within the retina. Farnesoid X nuclear receptor (FXR) has emerged as a potential regulator of metabolic homeostasis and inflammatory responses as a bile acid nuclear receptor.

The bladder mucosa is an important blood-urine barrier in the human body, its destruction can lead to distressing cystitis. Traditional treatment approaches often require frequent catheterization and intravesical instillation of hyaluronic acid (HA), which greatly reduces patient compliance and therapeutic efficacy. Herein, we develop a probiotic-based one-shot therapy to repair bladder mucosa with improved convenience, efficacy, and biosafety.
