Background: Wrist synovitis often leads to persistent pain, swelling, and limited mobility, causing significant functional impairment and psychological distress, including anxiety. Although arthroscopic synovectomy can alleviate physical symptoms, whether it also improves anxiety and the causal relationship between synovitis and anxiety remains unclear.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 44 patients diagnosed with wrist synovitis who underwent arthroscopic synovectomy.

Background: The anatomical structure of the elbow joint makes it vulnerable to contractures. While elbow arthroscopy minimizes soft tissue damage and enhances early rehabilitation, the optimal duration for postoperative Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) therapy is unclear. This retrospective study aims to establish the appropriate duration of CPM following arthroscopic elbow contracture release.

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a neurovascular structure that safeguards the brain by inhibiting the passage of harmful substances. In individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), the heightened blood glucose may cause damage to endothelial cells and neurons, increase collagen protein content, and elevate BBB permeability. Although the impact of blood glucose regulation on the structure and function of BBB has been documented, the exact mechanism remains incompletely elucidated.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the biomechanical characteristics of non-anatomical reduction and different screw positions on the stability of Pauwels type III femoral neck fractures.
Methods: Three-dimensional finite element models of femoral neck fractures were constructed using CT images. Four types of internal fixation methods were simulated, including biplane double-supported screw fixation (BDSF), three inverted triangular parallel cannulated screws (3CS), new parallel cannulated screws with posterior screws moving down (New 3CS), and two parallel cannulated screws (2CS).

Skeletal muscle plays a critical role in regulating systemic metabolic homeostasis. It has been demonstrated that time-restricted feeding (TRF) during the rest phase can desynchronize the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) and peripheral clocks, thereby increasing the risk of metabolic diseases. However, the impact of dietary timing on the muscle clock and health remains poorly understood.

Acute lung injury (ALI) is a common complication after hemorrhagic shock (HS), which is associated with HS-induced inflammatory response, oxidative stress, and cell apoptosis. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic efficacy of 8-Gingerol, a constituent extracted from ginger, on ALI after HS in rats. We established a fixed press hemorrhage model in SD rats, in which the HS rats were administered 15 or 30 mg/kg of 8-Gingerol by intraperitoneal injection before fluid resuscitation.

Background: Ulnar impingement syndrome is a prevalent source of ulnar carpal pain; however, there is ongoing debate regarding the specific location of shortening, the method of osteotomy, the extent of shortening, and the resulting biomechanical alterations.
Method: To investigate the biomechanical changes in the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) resulting from different osteotomy methods, a cadaveric specimen was dissected, and the presence of a stable DRUJ structure was confirmed. Subsequently, three-dimensional data of the specimen were obtained using a CT scan, and finite element analysis was conducted after additional processing.

Injury of peripheral nerve capable of regeneration with much poorer prognosis affects people's life quality. The recovery of nerve function after transplantation for peripheral nerve injury remain a worldwide problem. Silicon-induced biofilms as vascularized biological conduits can promote nerve regeneration by encapsulating autologous or allogeneic nerve graft.

Non-typhoidal infection is among the most frequent foodborne diseases threatening human health worldwide. The host circadian clock orchestrates daily rhythms to adapt to environmental changes, including coordinating immune function in response to potential infections. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the interplay between the circadian clock and the immune system in modulating infection processes are incompletely understood.

Programmed cell death (PCD) is tightly orchestrated by molecularly defined executors and signaling pathways. NLRP6, a member of cytoplasmic pattern recognition receptors, has a multifaceted role in host resistance to bacterial infection. However, whether and how NLRP6 may contribute to regulate host PCD during Gram-negative bacterial infection remain to be illuminated.

Background: Estrogen deficiency-mediated hyperactive osteoclast represents the leading role during the onset of postmenopausal osteoporosis. The activation of a series of signaling cascades triggered by RANKL-RANK interaction is crucial mechanism underlying osteoclastogenesis. Vorinostat (SAHA) is a broad-spectrum pan-histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACi) and its effect on osteoporosis remains elusive.
