Gastric cancer remains a significant health burden globally, especially prevalent in Asian and European regions. Despite a notable decline in incidence in the United States and Western Europe over recent decades, the disease's persistence underscores the urgency for advanced research in its pathogenesis and treatment strategies. Central to this pursuit is the exploration of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway, a pivotal cellular mechanism implicated in the complex processes of gastric cancer development, including cellular proliferation, invasion, migration, and metastasis.

Analysis of Risk Factors for Urinary Tract Infections in Pregnant Women: A Retrospective Study.

Objective: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common bacterial infection during pregnancy. This study aimed to investigate the risk factors of UTI during pregnancy.

Methods: In this study, pregnant women who underwent prenatal examination in our hospital from October 2019 to October 2023 were divided into UTI group and non-UTI group in accordance with whether or not they had a UTI.

Effect of Family Music Therapy on Patients with Primary Liver Cancer Undergoing Palliative Care and their Caregivers: A Retrospective Study.

Objective: The effectiveness of family music therapy for patients with advanced palliative care hepatocellular carcinoma and their main caregivers was investigated.

Methods: The clinical data of liver cancer patients and their main caregivers admitted to Wuwei City People's Hospital from August 2022 to April 2023 were retrospectively analysed. Patients were divided into observation group A and control group A according to whether they received family music therapy, and caregivers were divided into control group B and observation group B.

Recent studies have shown that the high incidence and low cure rate of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have not improved significantly. Surgery and liver transplantation are the mainstays of prolonging the survival of HCC patients. However, the surgical resection rate of HCC patients is very low, and even after radical surgical resection, the recurrence rate at 5 years postoperatively remains high and the prognosis is very poor, so more treatment options are urgently needed.

Receptor interacting protein kinase 4 (RIPK4) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis in several malignancies; however, its clinical significance and biological function in osteosarcoma (OS) remains unknown. In the present study, the RIPK4 expression level was significantly upregulated in OS tissues and cell lines. High RIPK4 expression was positively associated with larger sized tumors, advanced Enneking stage and poor prognosis in patients with OS.

[Clinical study of effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride and atropine sequential therapy in the treatment of severe acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning].

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of penehyclidine hydrochloride sequential to atropine in severe acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (AOPP).

Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 180 patients with severe AOPP admitted to the Emergency Center of Wuwei City People's Hospital from January 2007 to August 2011 was conducted. The patients were divided into penehyclidine hydrochloride sequential to atropine group, atropine group and penehyclidine hydrochloride group according to difference of anti-choline drugs using, with 60 cases in each group.
