Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common malignancy whose prognosis and treatment outcome are influenced by many factors. Some studies have found that tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) in cancer may contribute to prognosis and the prediction of immunotherapy efficacy However, the combined role of TLSs in NSCLC remains unclear. We accessed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases to obtain mRNA sequencing data and clinical information as the TCGA cohort, and used our own sample of 53 advanced NSCLC as a study cohort.

Glycine confers neuroprotection through PTEN/AKT signal pathway in experimental intracerebral hemorrhage.

Biochem Biophys Res Commun

June 2018

Institute of Neuroregeneration& Neurorehabilitation, Department of Neurosurgery of the Affiliated Hospital, Qingdao University, 308 Ningxia Street, Qingdao, 266071, China. Electronic address:

Glycine has been shown to protect against ischemic stroke through various mechanisms. Phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) which antagonize Akt-dependent cell survival has been linked to neuronal damage. However, whether glycine has a neuroprotective property in intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) was unknown.

In this study, we investigated the association between six genetic polymorphisms ( C677T and A1298C, -94ins/del ATTG, 3'UTR A>G, A386G (T54A) and T3801C) and the risk of idiopathic male infertility in a Chinese population. A case-control study comprising 1,759 idiopathic male infertile patients of Han Chinese ethnicity and 1,826 healthy fertile control individuals was carried out. Genotypes of all polymorphisms were determined via PCR-RFLP.

Human cytomegalovirus glycoprotein polymorphisms and increasing viral load in AIDS patients.

PLoS One

September 2017

Institute of Medical Virology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Wuhan University, Wuhan, Hubei, P. R. China.

Background: Multiple strains infection of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) was found to be correlated with increased viral load in immunodeficient patients. However, the pathogenic mechanism underlying this correlation remains unclear. To evaluate genetic polymorphisms of HCMV glycoprotein and their potential role in its viral load, HCMV glycoprotein B, N, and O (gB, gN and gO) genotypes was studied in the population of HCMV infected acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) patients.

We report on a study of the process e+ e- → π± (DD*)∓ at sqrt[s] = 4.26  GeV using a 525 pb(-1) data sample collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. A distinct charged structure is observed in the (DD*)∓ invariant mass distribution.
