Objective: Electroencephalography (EEG) and Magnetoencephalography (MEG) are widely used non-invasive techniques in clinical and cognitive neuroscience. However, low spatial resolution measurements, partial brain coverage by some sensor arrays, as well as noisy sensors could result in distorted sensor topographies resulting in inaccurate reconstructions of underlying brain dynamics. Solving these problems has been a challenging task, This paper proposes a robust framework based on electromagnetic source imaging for interpolation of unknown or poor quality EEG/MEG measurements.

Indobufen-based Dual Antiplatelet Therapy in Patients with Multivessel Coronary Disease Undergoing Drug-eluting Stent Implantation Insight From the OPTION Trial.

Causal association between systemic lupus erythematosus and primary biliary cholangitis: A bidirectional Mendelian randomization study.

An association has been observed between systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) in observational studies, however, the exact causal link remains unclear. We aim to evaluate the causal relationships between SLE and PBC through bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR). Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected as instrumental variables from publicly accessible genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in European populations.

Serum C reactive protein and procalcitonin are valuable predictors of coronary heart disease and poor prognosis in the elderly.

Objectives: To investigate the potential of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin (PCT) for predicting coronary heart disease (CHD) in elderly patients, as well as their impact on prognosis.

Methods: This retrospective analysis included 120 elderly patients with CHD (CHD group) and 100 patients without cardiovascular disease (control group). CHD patients were followed up for 12 months after discharge.

The NLRP3 inflammasome: contributions to inflammation-related diseases.

The NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a protein complex that regulates innate immune responses by activating caspase-1 and the inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. Multiple studies have demonstrated the importance of the NLRP3 inflammasome in the development of immune and inflammation-related diseases, including arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and other autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. This review first explains the activation and regulatory mechanism of the NLRP3 inflammasome.

Efficiency and safety of high-power ablation guided by Lesion size index: An ex vivo porcine heart study.

Background: Although Lesion size index (LSI) has been reported to highly predict radiofrequency lesion size in vitro, its accuracy in lesion size and steam pop estimation has not been well investigated for every possible scenario.

Methods: Initially, radiofrequency ablations were performed on porcine myocardial slabs at various power, CF, and time settings with blinded LSI. Subsequently, radiofrequency power at 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 W was applied at CF values of 5, 10, 20, and 30 g to reach target LSIs of 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Indobufen or Aspirin on Top of Clopidogrel After Coronary Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation (OPTION): A Randomized, Open-Label, End Point-Blinded, Noninferiority Trial.

Background: Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with aspirin as a background therapy has become the standard care after percutaneous coronary intervention. However, some adverse noncardiac effects limited the use of aspirin in clinical practice. Thus, evaluation of pharmacological alternatives to aspirin is attractive.

Associations between short-term exposure of PM constituents and hospital admissions of cardiovascular diseases among 18 major Chinese cities.

Previous studies showed different risk effects on exposure of fine particulate matter (PM) mass for cardiovascular disease (CVD) globally, which is likely due to different constituents of PM. This study aimed to investigate the association between short-term exposure of PM constituents and hospital admissions of CVD. Daily counts of city-specific hospital admissions for CVD in 18 cities in China between 2014 and 2017 were extracted from the national Urban Employee Basic Medical Insurance database and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning Information Center database.

Objective: To research the influence of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) process management on the incidence of needle injury and psychological anxiety of nursing interns.

Methods: This study belonged to the experimental study. A total of 180 nursing interns who practiced in the hospital from March 2020 to April 2022 were studied.

Olverembatinib is a new potent BCR-ABL1 TKI with preclinical activity against T315I-mutated CML. In phase 1/2 studies, we explored the safety and efficacy of olverembatinib in Chinese adults with TKI-resistant CML in the chronic phase (CML-CP) and accelerated phase (CML-AP).

Trends in ambient air pollution levels and PM chemical compositions in four Chinese cities from 1995 to 2017.

An in-depth analysis of the specific evolution of air pollution in a given city can provide a better understanding of the chronic effects of air pollution on human health. In this study, we reported trends in ambient concentrations of particulate matter (PM) and gaseous pollutants [sulfur dioxide (SO), nitrogen dioxide (NO), and ozone (O)] from 1995 to 2017 and PM composition for the period of 2000-2017 in Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing, and Lanzhou. We provided socio-economic indicators to help explain the pollution trends.

[Expression of microRNA-126 in myocardial tissue of rats in the early stage of severe burn injury and its relation with myocardial damage].

Objective: To observe the changes in the expressions of microRNA-126 in myocardial tissue and cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in serum of rats in the early stage of severe burn injury with analysis of their relationship, and to validate the relationship between microRNA-126 and myocardial damage in cellular level.

Methods: (1) Forty-eight SD rats were divided into sham injury group (n=8, without fluid therapy after sham injury) and burn injury group (n=40, inflicted with 30% TBSA full-thickness scald on the back, hereinafter referred to as burn, and received intraperitoneally injection of lactic acid Ringer's solution) according to the random number table. Blood was collected from abdominal aorta of rats in sham injury group at post injury hour (PIH) 1, and then these 8 rats were sacrificed for obtaining left ventricular tissue.

Evaluation of the Potential Risk of Hepatitis B Virus Transmission in Skin Allografting.

Introduction: Skin transplantation is associated with potential risk of infectious disease transmission; however, the exclusion of donors owing to hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection will worsen the shortage of allograft skin supply. We report a paired study to evaluate the potential risk of HBV transmission in skin allografting.

Methods: The presence of HBV DNA in the serum and skin from 37 burn patients with chronic HBV infection (CHB) was monitored by a HBV polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the positive rates were compared by Fisher's exact probability test.

[Advances in the research of Marjolin's ulcer].

Marjolin's ulcer is a rare malignancy arising from various forms of scars, mainly an old scar resulted from burn. The second most common origin is malignant degeneration arising from tissue within osteomyelitis fistulae. Not uncommonly, the lesions may arise secondary to ulcers due to venous insufficiency or pressure sores.

[Analysis of diagnosis and management of 21 patients with Marjolin's ulcers].

Objective: To investigate the clinical manifestation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with Marjolin's ulcers.

Methods: The clinical materials of 21 patients with Marjolin's ulcers hospitalized from January 2007 to January 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, including age, gender, injury causes, duration time of primary disease in developing Marjolin's ulcer, duration of ulcer, lesion site, ulcer area, symptoms and signs of ulcer region, bacterial culture results before operation, histopathological type, grade of carcinoma cell differentiation, depth of invasion, treatment, and outcome.

Results: (1) The age of 21 patients at the time of diagnosis of Marjolin's ulcers was 19-74 (47 ± 13) years, and the ratio of male to female was nearly 0.

[Curative effects of kinesitherapy in combination with self-made simple orthosis in treatment of scar contracture of burned hand in children].

Objective: To survey the curative effects of kinesitherapy in combination with self-made simple orthosis (SO) in treatment of scar contracture of burned hand in children.

Methods: Fifty-eight children with burns of unilateral hand and received treatment in our rehabilitation center from January 2012 to January 2014 were divided into common rehabilitation (CR) and SO groups according to the random number table, with 29 cases in each group. After the wounds were healed, patients in group CR were treated with kinesitherapy combined with hand game exercises and pressure gloves, while patients in group SO were treated with kinesitherapy combined with hand game exercises and self-made SO, which was composed of finger web dividing belt, self-adhesive bandage, and infusion set fixing plate.

Guidelines for burn rehabilitation in China.

Quality of life and functional recovery after burn injury is the final goal of burn care, especially as most of burn patients survive the injury due to advanced medical science. However, dysfunction, disfigurement, contractures, psychological problems and other discomforts due to burns and the consequent scars are common, and physical therapy and occupational therapy provide alternative treatments for these problems of burn patients. This guideline, organized by the Chinese Burn Association and Chinese Association of Burn Surgeons aims to emphasize the importance of team work in burn care and provide a brief introduction of the outlines of physical and occupational therapies during burn treatment, which is suitable for the current medical circumstances of China.

Effect and possible mechanism of monocyte-derived VEGF on monocyte-endothelial cellular adhesion after electrical burns.

Objective: One of the major obstacles in the treatment of severe electrical burns is properly handling the resulting uncontrolled inflammation. Such inflammation often causes secondary injury and necrosis, thus complicating patient outcomes. Vascular endothelial grow factor (VEGF) has emerged as an important mediator for the recruitment of monocytes to the site inflammation.

Self-control study of combination treatment of 308 nm excimer laser and calcipotriene ointment on stable psoriasis vulgaris.

Objective: This study aims to compare the differences of clinical efficacy and safety of treatment of stable psoriasis vulgaris with calcipotriene ointment in combination with 308 nm excimer laser to 308 nm excimer laser alone.

Methods: Randomized, open and self-control trial was conducted in 36 selected patients. The skin lesions from these patients with stable psoriasis vulgaris were divided into two sides along the midline of torso, one side was treated with 308 nm excimer laser, 2 times/week, at meantime Calcipotriene was applied externally, 2 times/day (treatment group); the other side was given 308 nm excimer laser alone, 2 times/week, the treatment period was 6 weeks (control group).
