These machines' work consists of repeating cycles, and each cycle can be divided into 4 operations: loading, driving with full box/bucket, unloading and driving with empty box/bucket.

Literature Review on Health Emigration in Rare Diseases-A Machine Learning Perspective.

The article deals with one of the effects of health inequalities and gaps in access to treatments for rare diseases, namely health-driven emigration. The purpose of the paper is to systematize knowledge about the phenomenon of health emigration observed among families affected by rare diseases, for which reimbursed treatment is available, but only in selected countries. The topic proved to be niche; the issue of "health emigration in rare diseases" is an area for exploration.

Grandparents' Professional and Educational Activity: A Positive or Negative Impact on Relationships with Grandchildren?

'Baby boomers' are the first generation whose representatives-both male and female-are, to a great extent, or plan to be, professionally active in their old age. Increased professional activity of this group influences family relations and the perception of the roles of grandmothers and grandfathers. This article attempts to assess the impact of grandparents' professional and educational activity on relationships with grandchildren.

The Energy and Nutritional Value of Meat of Broiler Chickens Fed with Various Addition of Wheat Germ Expeller.

The study concerns the effect of wheat germ expeller (WGE) as a feed additive given to male Ross-308 broiler chickens on their meat's energy and nutritional value, and coverage of nutrient reference values-requirements (NRV-R) of consumers for particular minerals. The chickens in the control group (CT-Control Treatment) were fed a standard complete mix. The experimental groups (EX5, EX10, EX15) were given a feed in which wheat middling was replaced with 5, 10, and 15% WGE.

Effectiveness of Network Relations in Poland during the Economic Crisis Caused by COVID-19: Interorganizational Network Viewpoints.

The global pandemic triggered by the SARS-CoV-2 virus has caused marked changes in the economic landscape in essentially every branch of the economy. The pandemic has disordered lives across all countries in the world and also affected the public sector in interesting ways. Our empirical research, of which selected elements are presented in this paper, was conducted under pandemic conditions.

PDO Cheese: Investigation into Its Morpho-Textural Traits, Microbiota, and Volatilome.

Queijo Serra da Estrela is a PDO Portuguese cheese produced through coagulation of raw ewe’s milk using cardoon (Cynara cardunculus L.) flowers. The present research was aimed at depicting an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the microbiota of Queijo Serra da Estrela cheese.

The Effects of Sous Vide, Microwave Cooking, and Stewing on Some Quality Criteria of Goose Meat.

Heat treatment methods including frying (with and without fat or oil), deep frying, oven roasting, grilling, charcoal roasting, broiling, steaming, and microwave cooking promote a cascade of adverse changes in the functional properties of meat, including protein fraction, lipid oxidation, and loss of some vitamins and mineral compounds. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of three cooking methods (sous vide (SV), microwave (M) cooking, and stewing (S)) on the basic chemical composition, cholesterol content, energy value, mineral concentration, and retention coefficients in goose meat. Basic chemical composition and mineral analysis were determined using AOAC methods.

The study aimed to determine the technological and sensory properties of the breast and thigh muscles of geese from the Polish native varieties: Kartuska (Ka) and Suwalska (Su) (from northern Poland) as well as Lubelska (Lu) and Kielecka (Ki) (from southern Poland). The color parameters: L*, a*, b*, ΔE, C, h°, total heme pigments (THPs), and share of myoglobin (Mb), metmyoglobin (MMb), and oxymyoglobin (MbO) in muscles were determined. In terms of technological properties, the following were determined: pH, water-binding capacity (WBC), water-holding capacity (WHC), cooking (CL), and roasting losses (RL).

Naringinase Biosynthesis by on an Optimized Medium Containing Red Grapefruit Albedo.

This study aimed to develop a method of naringinase biosynthesis by KMS on an optimized culture medium. The concentration of the six medium components in shake flasks was optimized by the Box and Wilson factor gradient method. Naringinase's substrate, naringin, powdered albedo, flavedo, and red grapefruit segment membranes were used to stimulate naringinase biosynthesis.

The effect of sous-vide (S-V), microwave cooking (M) and stewing (S) on the fatty acid profile and lipid indices of goose meat was investigated. The research material involved breast muscles (24 with skin and 24 without skin) cut from carcasses of 17-week-old females "Polish oat geese." Gas chromatography was used to establish the fatty acid profile and lipid indices were calculated.

The quantitative evaluation of subjective satisfaction with digital media in L2 acquisition in younger adults: A study from Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Foreign language learning has recently been transferred into an online or hybrid mode and this has brought many challenges for both the teachers and the students. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore students' subjective satisfaction with the use of digital media in their L2 acquisition conducted online, as well as to provide specific recommendations for meeting students' needs in digital media L2 instruction. This is large-scale comparative research conducted in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Iraq, and Malaysia.

Queijo de Nisa PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) is a semi-hard cheese obtained from raw ewe's milk clotted with cardoon (Cynara cardunculus, L.) rennet. The aim of the present study was to characterize the bacterial communities naturally occurring in Queijo de Nisa PDO cheese samples through viable counting and metataxonomic analysis.

Tourism-Related Needs in the Context of Seniors' Living and Social Conditions.

Significant changes are taking place in the structure of tourism participants. Due to the ageing of societies, the tourism sector has to respond to the increasing tourist activity of seniors. The main aim of our research was the recognition of the needs of senior tourists from selected regions of Poland, considering their health and financial situation as well as their physical activity.

Reducing Work-Related Stress Through Soft-Skills Training Intervention in the Mining Industry.

Objective: The aim of the study was to verify if soft-skills training is an effective intervention in reducing work-related stress among miners, that is, people who run the risk of losing health and/or life due to unpredictable natural forces or human error at work.

Background: The motivation for the intervention was based on Job Demands-Resources model where soft skills are job resources that help individuals to cope with or prevent high demands of the environment. The needed skills as well as work demands were first investigated and then a custom training was developed.

Unrefined vegetable oils from niche oilseeds are now sought after by consumers because of their unique nutritional properties and taste qualities. The color and flavor intensity of niche oils is a big problem, and their refining is not industrially feasible due to the small production scale. The study undertaken aimed analyze the effect of changing the amount of phytosterols (PSs) after the bleaching process of hemp oils of the 'Finola', 'Earlina 8FC' and 'Secuieni Jubileu' varieties.

Patterns of Locus of Control in People Suffering from Heart Failure: An Approach by Clustering Method.

The assumption of responsibility in dealing with chronic diseases is of relevance in a resource-oriented and not only deficit-oriented medicine, especially in dealing with chronic diseases, including patients with chronic heart failure. The aim of the present study is to examine, based on the model of "locus of control", whether there are different patterns that would be relevant for a more targeted education and support of self-management in dealing with heart failure. For this purpose, a sample (n = 758) from 11 Polish cardiology centers have been assessed using the standardized self-assessment scale Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (MHLC), consisting of three dimensions: (i) internal localization of health control; (ii) external control by powerful others; (iii) external control by chance.

Impact of frozen storage on fatty acid profile in goose meat.

The objective of this study was to investigate the changes of the fatty acid in breast (BM) and leg (LM) muscles from 17-wk-old female White Kołuda geese packaged in a vacuum and stored in freezing conditions at -20°C. During 17 weeks, the geese were fed ad libitum on the same complete feed. The samples (18 LM and 18 BM) from the right part of the carcasses were stored for 30, 90, 80, 270, and 365 d.

In striving to achieve workforce agility, responsible leaders should consider the intrinsic motivation oriented towards work, how it affects a team's performance, and the level of its involvement.

Obesity in adolescents may be associated with limitations in daily activities and an increased level of anxiety in patients and their parents - preliminary results of a pilot study.

Unlabelled: Obesity is a chronic disease, that in adolescents may lead to serious consequences affecting somatic and mental health. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of depressive symptoms and anxiety in adolescents with obesity and their parents. The relationships between depressive and anxiety symptoms and the somatic consequences of obesity were also analyzed.

Opioid Misuse: A Review of the Main Issues, Challenges, and Strategies.

In the United States, from 1999 to 2019, opioid overdose, either regularly prescribed or illegally acquired, was the cause of death for nearly 500,000 people. In addition to this pronounced mortality burden that has increased gradually over time, opioid overdose has significant morbidity with severe risks and side effects. As a result, opioid misuse is a cause for concern and is considered an epidemic.
