Background And Aim: Humans with inborn errors of immunity (IEI), or primary immunodeficiencies, may be associated with a potential risk factor for early-onset gastrointestinal (GI) cancer.

Methods: We systematically reviewed all cases with clinical diagnoses of both an IEI and a GI cancer in three databases (MEDLINE, SCOPUS, and EMBASE). In total, 76 publications satisfying our inclusion criteria were identified, and data for 149 cases were analyzed.

Lutetium-177 (Lu) dotatate is a type of peptide receptor radioligand therapy (PRRT) using radiolabeled somatostatin for patients with progressive somatostatin receptor-positive gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors. While cases of therapy-related myeloid neoplasms (t-MN) have been described as a consequence of Lu dotatate, there are no reports of hemolytic anemia associated with therapy. We present a case of a 68-year-old woman with metastatic low-grade neuroendocrine tumor who presented four weeks after the second dose of Lu dotatate with progressive fatigue and dyspnea.

The UK Biobank (UKBB) is a large population-based cohort that provides a unique opportunity to study the association between environmental exposure and biomarkers and to identify biomarkers as potential instruments for assessing exposure dose, health damage, and disease risks. On 462 063 participants of European ancestry, we characterized the relationship of 38 disease-relevant biomarkers, asthma diagnosis, ambient pollution, traffic factors, and genetic background. The air pollutant exposure on the UKBB cohort was fairly low (e.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the role of CD161CD4 T cells in chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.

Methods: A total of 94 patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), 73 with liver cirrhosis (LC) and 28 healthy controls were enrolled to determine frequency, cytokine production and chemokine receptor expression of circulating CD161CD4 T cells. Among these, 50 CHB and 34 LC patients were followed up for a period of 52-week entecavir monotherapy to assess the association of CD161CD4 T cells with seroconversion of HBV e antigen (HBeAg).

Oral Maxillofac Surg Clin North Am

February 2022

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Woodhull Medical Center, 760 Broadway, Room 2C319, Brooklyn, NY 11206, USA.
