Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) has been associated with several fetal complications, such as macrosomia and fetal growth restriction (FGR). Infants from GDM associated FGR are at increased risk for adult-onset obesity and associated metabolic disorders. However, the underlying mechanisms of GDM associated FGR remain to be explored.

Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by dysplasia in early life. Psychoradiology studies have suggested that mental and behavioral deficits in individuals with PWS are linked to abnormalities in brain structural and functional networks. However, little is known about changes in network-based structural-functional coupling and structural/functional topological properties and their correlations with developmental scales in children with PWS.

Immunotherapy has emerged as a highly promising strategy in the realm of cancer treatment, wherein immunogenic cell death (ICD) is considered a potential trigger for anti-tumor immunity by inducing adaptive immunity to dying cell antigens. This process is often accompanied by the exposure, active secretion, or passive release of a large number of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), which activate dendritic cells (DCs) and enhance their antigen-presenting capacity. Subsequently, it promotes the recruitment and activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, ultimately leading to tumor growth inhibition.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the risk factors for severe postpartum hemorrhage (SPPH) in patients with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) undergoing cesarean delivery, despite the prophylactic use of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA).
Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study on PAS patients who underwent cesarean delivery with prophylactic REBOA at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2017 to December 2021. Prophylactic REBOA placement was determined by a prenatal ultrasound scoring system.

SWI/SNF (Switch/Sucrose non-fermentable, switch/sucrose non-fermentable) chromatin remodeling complex is a macromolecular complex composed of multiple subunits. It can use the energy generated by the hydrolysis of ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) to destroy the connection between DNA and histones, achieve the breakdown of nucleosomes, and regulate gene expression. SWI/SNF complex is essential for cell proliferation and differentiation, and the abnormal function of its subunits is closely related to tumorigenesis.

Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is the most common chronic respiratory disease in preterm infants. Little is known about the regulatory effect of lung and its mechanism in BPD. This study explored the effect of on hyperoxia-induced mice lung injuries and examined whether played a role via the IL-22/STAT3 pathway.

Background: Current models for predicting intraoperative hemorrhage in cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy (CSEP) are constrained by known risk factors and conventional statistical methods. Our objective is to develop an interpretable prediction model using machine learning (ML) techniques to assess the risk of intraoperative hemorrhage during CSEP in women, followed by external validation and clinical application.
Methods: This multicenter retrospective study utilized electronic medical record (EMR) data from four tertiary medical institutions.

Background: Systematic study on the relationship between vaginal microbiota and high-risk human papillomavirus infection (HR-HPV) is limited. Hence, the aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between vaginal microbiota and HR-HPV infection through a meta-analysis of case-control studies.
Methods: Chinese Journal Full-text database, Wanfang database, PubMed database, VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journal database, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, JSTOR, Wiley, and IEEE Xplore were synthetically searched for studies about the correlation between vaginal microbiota and HR-HPV infection.

Background: Use of elective high frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) compared with conventional mechanical ventilation (CMV) results in a small reduction in the risk of chronic lung disease (CLD) or death, but the evidence is weak. Our objective was to explore whether elective HFOV was associated with less CLD or death as compared with CMV in preterm infants administered surfactant.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis, including 1835 ventilated participants from 11 randomized controlled trials comparing elective HFOV with CMV between February 1993 and February 2014.

Objective: To compare the sensitivity of photoacoustic imaging (PAI) in the detection of Intrauterine adhesions (IUA) at different grades with that of high frequency ultrasound (US), and to investigate whether PAI can evaluate IUA noninvasively and quantitatively by monitoring endometrial oxygenation.
Materials And Methods: In vivo high-frequency US/PAI dual-modality imaging was performed in12 rats with IUA and 5 control rats, the monolayer endometrial thickness on US (US-EMT) and the average oxygenation saturation of endometrium on PAI (PA-sO2 Avr) were measured respectively. HE, Masson and immunofluorescence staining were further conducted to investigate the monolayer endometrial thickness (HE-EMT), the number of endometrial glands (HE-EMG), the area ratio of endometrial fibrosis (FAr) and the mean fluorescence intensity of Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in endometrium (VEGF-MFI).

Background: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is the most common chronic respiratory disease among preterm infants. Owing to the limitations in current diagnostic methods, developing a predictive model for BPD is crucial.
Methods: Using 243 autophagy-associated genes and dataset GSE32472, differential expression of autophagy-associated genes was identified at postnatal days 5, 14, and 28 between BPD patients and controls.

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is characterized by impaired fetal growth and dysregulated lipid metabolism. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been proved playing a crucial role in transporting biomolecules from the mother to the fetus. However, the mechanisms underlying cargo sorting and loading into trophoblastic EVs remain elusive.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma poses a significant public health burden in China, necessitating the economic evaluation of new therapeutic strategies for policy-makers and clinicians. The international, randomized phase 3 trial CARES-310 revealed that camrelizumab plus rivoceranib provided a substantial clinical benefit in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, but the economic outcome remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of camrelizumab plus rivoceranib versus sorafenib as first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (CARES-310) from the perspective of the Chinese health care system.

Background: Acute lung injury (ALI) triggers the activation of pulmonary macrophages, which in turn produce excessive amounts of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
Results: We synthesized ROS-responsive red light-emitting carbon dots (RCMNs) that target lung macrophages, possess bioimaging capabilities, and efficiently eliminate intracellular ROS, thereby demonstrating anti-inflammatory effects for treating acute lung injury (ALI). In an LPS-induced ALI mouse model, RCMNs showed bioimaging and therapeutic potential, reducing lung damage and inflammation by targeting ROS-damaged tissue.
