Method: A case of fetal tachyarrhythmia complicated by progressive hydrops is presented. The fetus, diagnosed at 26 weeks of gestation, had supraventricular tachycardia with a mechanism suggestive of atrial reentry.

Predicting postoperative adhesive small bowel obstruction in infants under 3 months with intestinal malrotation: a random forest approach.

Objective: This study aimed to develop a predictive model using a random forest algorithm to determine the likelihood of postoperative adhesive small bowel obstruction (ASBO) in infants under 3 months with intestinal malrotation.

Methods: A machine learning model was used to predict postoperative adhesive small bowel obstruction using comprehensive clinical data extracted from 107 patients with a follow-up of at least 24 months. The Boruta algorithm was used for selecting clinical features, and nested cross-validation tuned and selected hyper-parameters for the random forest model.

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) are challenging blood cancers with limited long-term survival rates, necessitating novel therapeutic strategies. This study explored the role of Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors in enhancing ferroptosis in AML cells by modulating iron metabolism. We demonstrated that HDAC inhibitors (Entinostat and Vorinostat) sensitize AML cells to ferroptosis both in vitro and in vivo.

Screening for retinopathy of prematurity in China: a five-year cohort study in seven screening centers.

Background: To analyze the demographic characteristics of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in China, attempting to propose optimized screening criteria and hopefully providing valuable information for future updates to the ROP guideline.

Methods: A multicenter, retrospective-cohort study was conducted. The study included infants born between January 1, 2018, and July 31, 2023, who underwent ROP screening and were diagnosed with ROP at seven screening centers in China.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study on PAS patients who underwent cesarean delivery with prophylactic REBOA at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2017 to December 2021. Prophylactic REBOA placement was determined by a prenatal ultrasound scoring system.
