A cross-sectional study on nurse turnover intention and influencing factors in Jiangsu Province, China.

Background: Nurses' turnover has been a major concern globally, which is strongly influenced by nurses' intent to leave. However, only a few large sample studies on the predictive factors associated with nurses' turnover intention were conducted in Jiangsu Province. This study mainly aims to examine the level and factors that influence nurses to leave their work in Jiangsu Province of Eastern China.

Recognition and Clinical Diagnosis of Cervical Cancer Cells Based on our Improved Lightweight Deep Network for Pathological Image.

Accurate recognition of cervical cancer cells is of great significance to clinical diagnosis, but these existing algorithms are designed by low-level manual feature, and their performance improvements are limited an improved algorithm based on residual neural network is proposed to improve the accuracy of diagnosis. Firstly, momentum parameters are introduced into the training model; secondly, by changing the number of training samples, the recognition rate of the algorithm can be improved. Therefore, aiming at the task of object recognition under resource constrained condition, we optimize the design method of the network structure such as convolution operation, model parameter compression and enhancement of feature expression depth, and design and implement the lightweight network model structure for embedded platform.

Factors That Influence Refractive Changes in the First Year of Myopia Development in Premature Infants.

Purpose: To study the development of refractive status from 36 weeks to one year of postmenstrual age and to identify factors that contribute to development of myopia, including gender, birth weight, gestational age, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).

Methods: Premature infants underwent full cycloplegic retinoscopy at 36 weeks, 38 weeks, 40 weeks, 42 weeks, 44 weeks, 46 weeks, 48 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months of postmenstrual age. The infants were grouped by gender, birth weight, gestational age, and the severity of ROP to evaluate the correlation with refractive status at each postmenstrual age.

A novel small deletion of LMX1B in a large Chinese family with nail-patella syndrome.

Background: Nail-patella syndrome (NPS) is an autosomal dominant developmental disorder most commonly characterized by dyplasia of nail or patella, the radial head or the humeral head hypoplasia, and, frequently ocular abnormalities and renal disease. It is caused by heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in the LMX1B gene, which encodes LIM homeodomain transcription factor and is essential for regulating the dorsal limb fate.

Methods: A five generation pedigree was recruited.

Risk factors and potential protective factors of pregnancy-induced hypertension in China: A cross-sectional study.

A cross-sectional study was conducted to the reported factors and assesses possible protective factors for pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) in China. The data of pregnant women who delivered between October 2016 and September 2017 were collected from a birth registry. The primary outcome was the occurrence of PIH.

The prognosis value of EphA3 and the androgen receptor in prostate cancer treated with radical prostatectomy.

Background: This study aimed to preliminarily assess the relationship between erythropoietin-producing hepatocellular carcinoma receptor A3 (EphA3) and androgen receptor (AR) protein expression levels and prognosis in prostate cancer (PCa) to better understand the role of EphA3 in the prognosis and progression of PCa.

Materials: We investigated the expression of EphA3 and AR in human PCa by immunohistochemistry.

Results: EphA3 and AR were both significantly upregulated in PCa, with expression mainly localized to the nucleus.

Relationship between the methylation levels of Twist gene and pathogenesis of endometriosis.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of Twist gene promoter methylation among ovarian ectopic endometrium, eutopic endometrium and non-endometriosis (EMs) endometrium . 15 patients with reproductive age hospitalized at Department of obstetrics and gynecology affiliated to Medicine School of Zhejiang University from January 2013 to June 2016 were selected. Among them, 5 patients underwent laparoscopic surgery due to ovarian type EMs, and were selected after histologic confirmation.

[Intelligent fetal state assessment based on genetic algorithm and least square support vector machine].

Cardiotocography (CTG) is a commonly used technique of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) for evaluating fetal well-being, which has the disadvantage of lower diagnostic rate caused by subjective factors. To reduce the rate of misdiagnosis and assist obstetricians in making accurate medical decisions, this paper proposed an intelligent assessment approach for analyzing fetal state based on fetal heart rate (FHR) signals. First, the FHR signals from the public database of the Czech Technical University-University Hospital in Brno (CTU-UHB) was preprocessed, and the comprehensive features were extracted.

Growth in syphilis-exposed and -unexposed uninfected children from birth to 18 months of age in China: a longitudinal study.

Early infant growth and development has attracted worldwide attention. Although numerous studies have demonstrated that maternal syphilis increases the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes and congenital syphilis, the subsequent growth pattern and morbidity of syphilis-exposed uninfected infants are less understood. We conducted a longitudinal study to compare the growth pattern and disease distribution of syphilis-exposed and syphilis-unexposed uninfected children, and World Health Organization (WHO) reference standards from birth to 18 months of age.

Frequency and risk factors for recurrent gestational diabetes mellitus in primiparous women: a case control study.

Background: To investigate the frequency and risk factors for recurrent gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Chinese primiparous women.

Methods: Case control study. We investigated primiparous women who experienced GDM complications and had a subsequent pregnancy in the same hospital from January, 2012 to January, 2017.

Factors associated with deep infiltrating endometriosis versus ovarian endometrioma in China: a subgroup analysis from the FEELING study.

Background: To compare potential factors associated with deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) versus ovarian endometrioma (OMA) among endometriosis patients in China.

Methods: A subgroup analysis of factors associated with DIE versus OMA was performed in Chinese women from the FEELING study. This study included 156 OMA patients and 78 DIE patients.

Post-marketing safety surveillance and reevaluation of Motherwort injection: A clinical study of 10 094 cases.

Objective: To investigate the safety profiles of Motherwort injection (MI).

Methods: A multi-center, prospective and drug- derived hospital intensive monitoring method was conducted to assess the safety of MI in real world applications. This study was based on a very large population after the injection was approved and marketed in China.

A dual functional fluorogenic probe for visualization of intracellular pH and formaldehyde with distinct fluorescence signals.

In this study, a single fluorescent probe (DPFP) containing a 1,8-naphthalimide dye and a homoallylamino group for imaging pH and formaldehyde (FA) has been developed that exhibits significant blue fluorescence (λ at 455 nm) under acidic pH conditions (pH < 7.0) and green fluorescence (λ at 555 nm) in the presence of FA, respectively. Furthermore, probe DPFP was successfully applied to image acidic lysosomes and exogenous or endogenous FA in living HeLa cells.

[A clinical retrospective study on 160 cases of multiple umbilical cord around the neck].

To compare the neonatal and maternal outcomes between the patients with umbilical cord around the neck (≥3 loops) and with (1 or 2 loops). A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 160 cases with multiple umbilical cord around the neck (≥3 loops) in the Department of Obstetrics, Women's Hospital School of Medicine Zhejiang University between January 2014 and April 2017.For each case, two control women who gave birth at the same day with vertex position and singletons were selected.

Paclitaxel plus nedaplatin vs. paclitaxel plus carboplatin in women with epithelial ovarian cancer: A multi-center, randomized, open-label, phase III trial.

The multi-center, randomized, open-label, phase III trial discussed in the present study was performed to compare the clinical outcomes of nedaplatin (NDP) plus paclitaxel, and carboplatin (CBP) plus paclitaxel for the treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). In the current study, 182 patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage II-IV EOC were randomly assigned to receive NDP plus paclitaxel or CBP plus paclitaxel at 3-week intervals for a total of six courses. The primary endpoints were progression-free survival rate (PFS) and overall survival rate (OS).

Chinese fetal biometry: reference equations and comparison with charts from other populations.

Objective: This study aimed to construct new reference charts and equations for fetal biometry from Chinese fetuses at 15-40 weeks and to compare them with previous references.

Method: This was a prospective, cross-sectional study of singleton pregnancies in patients with a confirmed gestational age who underwent ultrasound examinations between the 15th and 40th weeks of gestation. Each woman was selected only once for this study.

Prognostic analysis for Chinese patients with stage I ovarian endometrioid carcinoma.

Background: This study aimed to identify the clinical and pathological characteristics and the possible prognostic factors for Chinese patients with early-stage ovarian endometrioid carcinoma.

Methods: The present study reviewed the medical records of patients who received initial treatment and a postoperative pathological diagnosis of ovarian endometrioid carcinoma at our center. In all, 78 patients had stage I ovarian endometrioid carcinoma.

Lysocardiolipin acyltransferase regulates TGF-β mediated lung fibroblast differentiation.

Lysocardiolipin acyltransferase (LYCAT), a cardiolipin remodeling enzyme, plays a key role in mitochondrial function and vascular development. We previously reported that reduced LYCAT mRNA levels in peripheral blood mononuclear cells correlated with poor pulmonary function outcomes and decreased survival in IPF patients. Further LYCAT overexpression reduced lung fibrosis, and LYCAT knockdown accentuated experimental pulmonary fibrosis.

Single-Lead Fetal ECG Extraction Based on a Parallel Marginalized Particle Filter.

This paper presents a novel method for extracting the fetal ECG (FECG) from a single-lead abdominal signal. A dynamical model for a modified abdominal signal is proposed, in which both the maternal ECG (MECG) and the FECG are modeled, and then a parallel marginalized particle filter (par-MPF) is used for tracking the abdominal signal. Finally, the FECG and MECG are simultaneously separated.

Purpose: To investigate the expression patterns of N-acetyl galactosamine transferases (GalNAc-Ts)-3 and GalNAc-T6 in clinicopathologically characterized endometriosis (EMS), and to explore their clinical significance.

Methods: Ectopic and eutopic endometrial tissue samples were obtained and confirmed with CD-10 immunohistochemistry in patients with EMS (n = 12), whereas normal control endometrium was obtained from patients with uterine septum (n = 12). The mRNA and protein levels of GalNAc-T3 and GalNAc-T6 were detected in these samples using quantitative real-time PCR, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting.

Multiple SLC and ABC Transporters Contribute to the Placental Transfer of Entecavir.

Entecavir (ETV), a nucleoside analog with high efficacy against hepatitis B virus, is recommended as a first-line antiviral drug for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. However, scant information is available on the use of ETV in pregnancy. To better understand the safety of ETV in pregnant women, we aimed to demonstrate whether ETV could permeate placental barrier and the underlying mechanism.

Aim And Objectives: To evaluate the effects of gum chewing combined with a semi-liquid diet on patients after gynaecologic laparoscopic surgery.

Background: Previous studies suggested that chewing gum before traditional postoperative care promotes the postoperative recovery of bowel motility and function after open and laparoscopic surgery. However, gum chewing combined with a semi-liquid diet has not been reported in postoperative care of patients following gynaecologic laparoscopic surgery.
