Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with an insidious onset and poor prognosis. Pomegranate is a fruit rich in many natural products with anti-cancer potential; however, its direct biological effects are difficult to evaluate in vitro because of changes in its active components after absorption and metabolism. This study was conducted to prepare pomegranate juice-containing serum (PJ serum) by gavage of pomegranate juice (PJ) in rats and to collect serum.
