Clinical utility of office hysteroscopy following failed in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer: A retrospective cohort study.

Objective: Despite its widespread use, in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes are challenged by implantation failure, largely due to factors such as embryo quality and endometrial receptivity. In this study, we investigated the clinical effect of office hysteroscopy (OH) on the subsequent frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) in infertile women who experienced a failed IVF-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) cycle.

Methods: We included 577 infertile women who underwent OH because of a history of failed ET between October 2019 and September 2021.

Although Postpartum depression (PPD) and PPD with anxiety (PPD-A) have been well characterized as functional disruptions within or between multiple brain systems, however, how to quantitatively delineate brain functional system irregularity and the molecular basis of functional abnormalities in PPD and PPD-A remains unclear. Here, brain sample entropy (SampEn), resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC), transcriptomic and neurotransmitter density data were used to investigate brain functional system irregularity, functional connectivity abnormalities and associated molecular basis for PPD and PPD-A. PPD-A exhibited higher SampEn in medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC) and posterior cingulate cortex (PPC) than healthy postnatal women (HPW) and PPD while PPD showed lower SampEn in PPC compared to HPW and PPD-A.

Background: Several risk factors have been identified that compromise the treatment outcome in patients with early-to-mid-stage cervical cancer (CC) who are primarily treated with radical surgery. However, there is no report on the impact of intraoperative frozen pathology examination of vaginal margins on the prognosis of patients with CC. Minimally invasive surgery on treatment of early-stage cervical cancer is debatable. Traditional approaches of colpotomy are considered responsible for an inferior oncological outcome. Evidence on whether protective colpotomy could optimize minimally invasive technique and improve prognoses of women with early-stage cervical cancer remains limited.

Effect of the time interval between denudation and ICSI on fresh embryo transfer reproductive outcomes: a retrospective study.

Purpose: This study aims to determine if the incubation after oocyte denudation before Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) affects the clinical pregnancy rate.

Methods: This was a retrospective, consecutive data analysis of 1370 patients who underwent ICSI cycles at the Department of Reproductive Medicine of West China Second University of Sichuan University (Chengdu, Sichuan) between January 2020 and July 2022. The primary outcome was the clinical pregnancy rate.

Effects of temperature anomaly on sperm quality: A multi-center study of 33,234 men.

Backgrounds: Global fertility rates continue to decline and sperm quality is a prime factor affecting male fertility. Both extreme cold and heat have been demonstrated to be associated with decreased sperm quality, but no epidemiological studies have considered human adaptation to long-term temperature. Our aim was to conduct a multi-center retrospective cohort study to investigate exposure-response relationship between temperature anomaly (TA) that deviate from long-term climate patterns and sperm quality.

Osteoporosis, a metabolic bone disease characterized by low bone mineral density and deterioration of bone microarchitecture, has led to a high risk of fatal osteoporotic fractures worldwide. Accumulating evidence has revealed that sexual dimorphism is a notable feature of osteoporosis, with sex-specific differences in epidemiology and pathogenesis. Specifically, females are more susceptible than males to osteoporosis, while males are more prone to disability or death from the disease.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a group of noncoding RNAs with transcript lengths of >200 nucleotides. Mounting evidence suggests that lncRNAs are closely associated with tumorigenesis. LncRNA H19 (H19) was the first lncRNA to function as an oncogene in many malignant tumors.

Platinum desensitization therapy and its impact on the prognosis of ovary high-grade serous adenocarcinoma: a real world-data.

Background: To examine the value of five-step platinum desensitization therapy in epithelial ovarian cancer.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on the high-grade serous adenocarcinoma of the ovary (HGSAO) patients who developed a platinum allergy during treatment and received desensitization therapy between January, 2016 and December, 2020. The logistic-regression was adopted to analyze the relationship between platinum desensitization therapy and prognosis in HGSAO patients.

Tumor-Microenvironment-Activatable Nanoparticle Mediating Immunogene Therapy and M2 Macrophage-Targeted Inhibitor for Synergistic Cancer Immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy has achieved prominent clinical efficacy in combating cancer and has recently become a mainstream treatment strategy. However, achieving broad efficacy with a single modality is challenging, and the heterogeneity of the tumor microenvironment (TME) restricts the accuracy and effectiveness of immunotherapy strategies for tumors. First-line monodrug chemotherapy in low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia: a network meta-analysis.

Objective: The efficacy of the first-line monodrug chemotherapy has been generally established for low-risk GTN. Most patients can achieve a complete response after the first-line monodrug chemotherapy. However, which monodrug chemotherapy regimen is better for individual patients with GTN is not yet certain.

Persistent right venous valve as a cause of fetal and neonatal pathology from prenatal to postnatal periods: a case report and review.

Background: Neonatal cyanosis is a clinical manifestation of hypoxemia and is usually pathological. Persistent right venous valve (PRVV) is a rare cause of cyanosis in newborns and can cause prenatal abnormalities, the clinical significance of which varies depending on the severity of the abnormality. There have been few reports on the intrauterine detection of these abnormalities and their follow-up during infancy.
