The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of ternary systems consisting of meloxicam with cyclodextrins (HP-β-CD or SBE-β-CD) and different polymers (HA, HPMC and PVP) on the stability of meloxicam. The values of meloxicam were determined within all the aforementioned systems and the influence of various polymers on the alteration in meloxicam's stability was evaluated. All three polymers altered the stability of meloxicam to varying degrees, with the extent of the effect being related to hydrophilicity, concentration of components, and the interaction of the newly formed ternary system.

Based on an "assembling-fission" principle, stable sulfur quantum dots (SQDs) were synthesized using sublimed sulfur as a precursor and PEG-400 as a passivator. The fluorescence intensities (FIs) of SQDs were efficiently quenched by Cr(vi) due to formation of SQD/Cr(vi) complexes through the inner-filter effect. When ascorbic acid (AA) was introduced into the SQD/Cr(vi) system, SQD fluorescence was restored due to AA-induced reduction of Cr(vi) to Cr(iii).

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a malignant tumor that accounts for the most new cancer cases and cancer-related deaths worldwide, and the proliferation and metastasis of NSCLC are the main reasons for treatment failure and patient death. Traditional chemotherapeutic drugs have low selectivity, which can kill cancer cells and cause damage to normal cells at the same time. Therefore, it is particularly important to study therapies that target cancer cells and to find low-toxicity, high-efficiency anticancer drugs.
