Background: Mental disorders may adversely impact postoperative recovery in scoliosis surgery. However, study findings have been inconsistent and a systematic synthesis is lacking.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, and Cochrane Library for studies examining associations between preoperative mental disorders, assessed by various scales, such as the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ), the Modified Somatic Perception Questionnaire (MSPQ), and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and postoperative outcomes, such as pain, disability, quality of life, and satisfaction, in scoliosis surgery.

This study aimed to assess the possible causes of discordant results between Xpert MTB/RIF (Xpert) and Bactec MGIT 960 Culture System (MGIT960) regarding rifampicin (RIF) susceptibility in . Patients with previous RIF-resistant tuberculosis who were admitted to Wenzhou Central Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were enrolled. The isolates obtained from these patients were subjected to RIF susceptibility tests using Xpert and MGIT960, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of RIF was determined by the MYCOTB MIC plate test.

Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) encompass a collection of clonal hematopoietic malignancies distinguished by the depletion of peripheral blood cells. The treatment of MDS is hindered by the advanced age of patients, with a restricted repertoire of drugs currently accessible for therapeutic intervention. In this study, we found that ES-Cu strongly inhibited the viability of MDS cell lines and activated cuproptosis in a copper-dependent manner.

Background: Osteoporosis is characterized by an imbalance in bone homeostasis, resulting in the excessive dissolution of bone minerals due to the acidified microenvironment mediated by overactive osteoclasts. Oroxylin A (ORO), a natural flavonoid, has shown potential in reversing osteoporosis by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. The limited water solubility and lack of targeting specificity hinder the effective accumulation of Oroxylin A within the pathological environment of osteoporosis.
