This is a case of a 19-year-old female collegiate field hockey player with left leg pain, numbness, and tingling. A comprehensive workup including dynamic ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) revealed a type VI functional popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES). There are many options for treatment of functional PAES including activity modification, botulinum toxin injection, and surgery.

Effect of Fixation Type and Bone Graft on Tarsometatarsal Fusion.

Background:: End-stage tarsometatarsal (TMT) arthritis is commonly treated with arthrodesis of involved joints. Fixation hardware can consist of varying combinations of screws, plates, and staples with or without supplemental bone graft. Amphetamine and its related derivatives and analogues (ADRA) are highly addictive central nervous system stimulants that are used commonly in the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. These medications are associated with many side effects but reports of peripheral arterial manifestations associated with ADRA usage are scarce. Short-Term Contact Kinematic Changes and Longer-Term Biochemical Changes in the Cartilage After ACL Reconstruction: A Pilot Study.

Investigation of the development of cartilage degeneration after ACL reconstruction is important for improving current surgical treatment of ACL injuries to prevent long-term knee joint degeneration. This pilot study examined the relationship between the changes in weight-bearing knee contact kinematics 6 months after ACL reconstruction and the biochemical composition changes in the knee cartilage measured using T2 relaxation values 3 years after the surgery in seven patients. The analysis indicated that the change of the knee contact kinematics in short-term after ACL reconstruction is associated with an increase of T2 values of the cartilage in longer follow up times.

This study aimed to explore the effect of a personalized intervention aimed at reducing SB and increasing breaks in SB among college employees.

Accuracy and Completeness of Clinical Coding Using ICD-10 for Ambulatory Visits.

This study describes a simulation of diagnostic coding using an EHR. Twenty-three ambulatory clinicians were asked to enter appropriate codes for six standardized scenarios with two different EHRs. Their interactions with the query interface were analyzed for patterns and variations in search strategies and the resulting sets of entered codes for accuracy and completeness.
