Objectives: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of suraxavir marboxil (GP681, abbreviated as suraxavir) in adults with uncomplicated influenza.

Methods: We conducted a multi-center randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 trial in 18 Chinese centers. Participants had to be aged 18-65 years with positive influenza test, presenting with at least one influenza systemic and respiratory symptoms in at least moderate severity within 48 hours of onset.

It has shown therapeutic activity against influenza A and B virus infections in preclinical studies. In this multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial, we aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of single-dose suraxavir marboxil (40-mg oral dose) in otherwise healthy outpatients aged 5-65 years with uncomplicated influenza unaccompanied by severe issues.

Drug-Eluting Beads Bronchial Arterial Chemoembolization Combined with Immunotherapy Resulted in Pathological Complete Response of Squamous Cell Lung Cancer: A Case Report.

The incidence of lung cancer is the highest among all tumors, and treatment has become an urgent problem to be solved. The Drug-eluting bead-based bronchial arterial chemoembolization (DEB-BACE) combination immunotherapy is a rare neoadjuvant therapy for lung cancer surgery, which can significantly reduce the time it takes for lung cancer patients to undergo surgery.We report a male patient, aged 59-year-old, with Stage-III b squamous cell lung cancer accompanied by hemoptysis underwent surgical resection after DEB-BACE combination immunotherapy treatment 21 days later without obvious adverse events.

Effects of vegetarian diets on blood lipids, blood glucose, and blood pressure: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

High blood lipids, blood glucose, or blood pressure ("3Bs") are established risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. However, the effects of vegetarian diets on these parameters were inconsistent in previous meta-analyses. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis with comprehensive subgroup analyses, quality assessment, and sensitivity analyses to confirm the effects of vegetarian diets on 3Bs.

Multiregional dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI-based integrated system for predicting pathological complete response of axillary lymph node to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer: multicentre study.

Background: The accurate evaluation of axillary lymph node (ALN) response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer holds great value. This study aimed to develop an artificial intelligence system utilising multiregional dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) and clinicopathological characteristics to predict axillary pathological complete response (pCR) after NAC in breast cancer.

Methods: This study included retrospective and prospective datasets from six medical centres in China between May 2018 and December 2023.

Background: A healthy, well-balanced diet plays an essential role in respiratory diseases. Since micronutrient deficiency is relatively common in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), micronutrient supplementation might have the beneficial health effects in those patients. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to demonstrate the impact of micronutrient supplementation on the lung function of patients with COPD.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Rhubarb, a prominent traditional Chinese medicine, has been employed as a potent laxative for centuries and garnered particular popularity among the youth owing to its notable efficacy in weight management. Historical records indicated that rhubarb initially exhibited robust laxative properties, but extended and consistent usage may lead to an astringent response in the later stage of long-term use. In contrast, steamed pieces of rhubarb (SR), preparing through the process of steaming with wine, have demonstrated a gentle laxative effect with no reported adverse effects.

Background And Objectives: Malnutrition is associated with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). The aim of this study is to investigate the association between persistent malnutrition and the effect of PTB treatment.

Methods And Study Design: A total of 915 PTB patients were included.

Effects of the polypeptide from peanut meal mixed fermentation on lipid metabolism and intestinal flora of hyperlipidemic mice.

Background: Hyperlipidemia is one of the metabolic disorders posing great threat to human health. Our previous studies have shown that the nutritional properties of peanut meal after fermentation are markedly improved, and can effectively improve hyperlipidemia caused by high-fat diet in mice. In this study, in order to facilitate the further utilization of peanut meal, the effect of peanut polypeptide (PP) from peanut meal mixed fermentation on lipid metabolism in mice fed with high-fat diet (HFD) and its possible mechanism were investigated.

The risk factors for the failure of hook wire localization of ground glass nodules prior to thoracoscopic surgery.

Objectives: To retrospectively analyse the potential influencing factors of CT-guided hook wire localization failure prior to thoracoscopic resection surgery of ground glass nodules (GGNs), and determine the main risk elements for localization failure.

Methods: In all, 372 patients were included in this study, with 21 patients showing localization failure. The related parameters of patients, GGNs, and localization were analysed through univariate and multiple logistic regression analysis to determine the risk factors of localization failure.

Nutrition and clinical manifestations of pulmonary tuberculosis: A cross-sectional study in Shandong province, China.

Background And Objectives: The aim is to investigate the association between nutritional status and clinical picture of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB).

Methods And Study Design: A total of 613 pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Weifang city, Shandong province, China were included. Clinical and nutritional history, anthropometry, nutritionally relevant indicators including serum total protein and albumin, hemoglobin and lymphocyte count were measured.
