The Impact of a Huge Fibroid on Pregnancy: A Case Report.

Uterine fibroids are benign smooth muscle tumors of the uterus, are relatively common in reproductive-age women, and are associated with increasing maternal age. This case study details a 37-year-old female patient who was incidentally diagnosed with a larger lower segment fibroid during her first pregnancy scan and responded well to treatment, delivered by a cesarian due to transverse lie and lower uterine segment fibroid completely obstructing the birth canal.

Know thyself: Development and validation of self-awareness of teaching skills (SATS) measuring instrument for medical teachers.

Background: Self-awareness is measured previously in the higher education however not specifically in relation to 'effectiveness of teaching' thus leaving a gap in the literature.

Aim: To develop and validate an instrument for medical teachers to measure the self-awareness of their teaching.

Methods: This was an instrument development multiphase mixed-method study design, based on Brookfield's four lenses theory.

Expression of Ki-67 and Βeta-Catenin in Pseudoepitheliomatous Hyperplasia and Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Oral Mucosal Biopsies : An Immunohistochemical Study.

Objective: To examine the immunohistochemical expression of Ki-67 and beta-catenin in pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in oral mucosal biopsies.

Methods: In this comparative cross sectional study, 70 cases of each PEH and OSCC were taken from the patients of both genders and in all age groups. Study was conducted at Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), Rawalpindi from Dec 2017 to March 2019.
