Objective: To estimate inter-center variation (ICV) in hospital length of stay (LOS) and oral feeding at discharge among infants with gastroschisis.

Study Design: The Children's Hospitals Neonatal Consortium's (CHNC) database was used to identify hospitalized survivors with gastroschisis. Two outcomes were evaluated: LOS and discharge without tube feedings.

Methods: An expected-value decision analysis was performed, (1) Organizing the decision problem, (2) determining outcome probabilities, (3) determining outcome utilities, (4) performing fold-back analyses, (5) performing sensitivity analyses. A decision tree was constructed (complete capsule closure vs incomplete closure) and a meta-analysis was conducted.

Improving Diversity in a Novel Psoriasis Study: VISIBLE as a Framework for Clinical Trial Quality Improvement.

Importance: Diverse racial and ethnic representation in clinical trials has been limited, not representative of the US population, and the subject of pending US Food and Drug Administration guidance. Psoriasis presentation and disease burden can vary by skin pigmentation, race and ethnicity, and socioeconomic differences. Overall, there are limited primary data on clinical response, genetics, and quality of life in populations with psoriasis and skin of color (SoC).

Biosimilar SB17 versus reference ustekinumab in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis after switching: phase 3 study results up to week 52.

Introduction: SB17 is a biosimilar to reference ustekinumab (UST). We compared the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of SB17 to UST up to Week 52, including switching from UST to SB17.

Background: Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA) is a primary lymphocytic scarring alopecia which occurs predominantly in Black middle-aged women.1,2 The benefits and prevalence of shared decision-making (SDM) models for CCCA patients have yet to be studied. Our study investigates the role of SDM in the management of CCCA.

Efficacy and Safety of Daratumumab in Intermediate/High-risk Smoldering Multiple Myeloma: Final Analysis of CENTAURUS.

Early intervention of smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) may delay progression to multiple myeloma. Here, we present the final analysis of the phase 2 CENTAURUS study (NCT02316106). In total, 123 patients with intermediate/high-risk SMM were randomized to intravenous daratumumab 16 mg/kg following a Long intense (n = 41), Intermediate (n = 41), or Short intense (n = 41) dosing schedule.

Rather than encoding each individual object separately, the hippocampus may instead encode categories of objects to reduce this dimensionality.

Increasing incidence of concussion and head injury due to electric biking: a 10-year sex- and age-specific analysis of national injury data.

Objectives: Electric biking (e-biking) is a rapidly growing recreation, sport, and mode of transportation that often presents to emergency departments (EDs) with high-impact head injuries. This study aimed to evaluate the epidemiology of e-bike-related concussions and closed-head injuries (CHI) to inform more effective injury prevention strategies.

Methods: The National Electronic Injury Surveillance (NEISS) was queried for e-bike related concussions and CHIs presented to national EDs from 1 January 2013-31 December 2022.

Methods: Twenty-four fresh-frozen female cadaveric TMCs were separated into (1) younger healthy/early-stage osteoarthritic, (2) elder healthy/early-stage osteoarthritic, and (3) advanced-stage osteoarthritic groups based on age and Eaton-Littler grading. Objective: We assessed if food insecurity (FI) is associated with not obtaining recommended diabetes medications, technology, and multidisciplinary services, and explored the most common reasons for not obtaining recommended treatments in youth and young adults (YYA) with diabetes.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, among 911 YYA with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and 144 with type 2 diabetes (T2D) from the SEARCH Food Security Cohort Study Follow-up 1 (2018-2021), FI (≥ 3 items affirmed from the 18-item Household Food Security Survey module), and inability to obtain recommended treatments were self-reported.

Results: Almost 30% of YYA with T1D and FI and 20% of YYA with T2D and FI did not obtain 1 or more recommended treatments.
