Background: Hemodynamic changes are independent risk factors for long-term patient morbidity and duration of hospital stay. According to the statistics, the three most prevalent complications in the postanaesthesia care unit were airway events, haemodynamic instability, and postoperative nausea and vomiting. Hemodynamic instability in the postanaesthesia care unit can result in serious complications, such as long-term patient morbidity and prolonged hospital stays.

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a major public health problem worldwide, and is mainly caused by human papillomaviruses. More than 90% of cervical cancer cases can be prevented by using a human papilloma vaccine and screening. Despite the ongoing global cervical cancer screening target, uptake remains unacceptably low in sub-Saharan Africa such as Tanzania.

Climate change and land use dynamics are critical issues facing many regions worldwide, particularly in developing countries. This study examines the spatiotemporal changes in land use and land cover (LULC) and their impact on climate variability in the Bilate Watershed, Ethiopia, from 1994 to 2024. Utilizing multispectral satellite imagery from Landsat 5, 7, and 8, along with meteorological data from five weather stations, LULC classification was performed using the Random Forest algorithm on the Google Earth Engine platform.

A male partner or husband is the most influential person in the family, especially in Ethiopia. The role of a male partner or husband in promoting and supporting breastfeeding has hardly been investigated in low- and middle-income countries, including Ethiopia. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of breastfeeding education and support interventions that focus on male partners, with the goal of promoting optimal breastfeeding practices in central Ethiopia.

Background: Quality Antenatal Care (ANC) is considered if pregnant women have access to essential services that align with the best evidence-based practice. Although several studies have been conducted on ANC uptake in Ethiopia, they have focused on the timing and number of visits and the level of complete uptake of care contents according to the WHO recommendation remains scarce. Hence, this study aimed to assess the magnitude of missing care content during ANC visits, its spatial variations, and individual- and community-level determinants in Ethiopia.

Background: COVID-19, a highly impactful infectious disease, has been observed to result in psychological distress, organ impairment, and mortality. The severity and consequences of the illness appear to vary based on geographical location and individual characteristics. Understanding the disease and optimizing resource distribution through early classification depend on having data on the severity of COVID-19 patients.

Squeezing light in an optomechanical system involves reducing quantum noise in one of the light's quadratures through the interaction between optical and mechanical modes. However, achieving successful implementation requires careful control of experimental parameters, which can be challenging. Here, we investigate a two-mode squeezed light transfer from optical to mechanical modes induced by a non-degenerate optical parametric amplifier (OPA).

Importance: Cancer prevention and care efforts have been challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic and armed conflicts, resulting in a decline in the global Human Development Index (HDI), particularly in low- and middle-income countries. These challenges and subsequent shifts in health care priorities underscore the need to continuously monitor cancer outcome disparities and statistics globally to ensure delivery of equitable and optimal cancer prevention and care in uncertain times.
Objective: To measure the global burden of 36 cancers in 2022 by sex, age, and geographic location and to project future trends by 2050.
