We propose ANN-based models to analyze and extract the internal parameters of a Schottky photodiode (SPD) without presenting them with any knowledge of the highly nonlinear thermionic emission (TE) expression of the device current. We train, evaluate and demonstrate the ML models on thirty-six private datasets from three previously published devices, which denote current responses under illumination and ambient temperature of graphene oxide (GO) doped p-Si Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs). The GO doping levels are 0%, 1%, 3%, 5%, and 10%.

November 2023

Beekeeping Development-Application and Research Center-AGAM, Bursa Uludag University, Gorukle Campus, Nilufer, 16059, Bursa, Türkiye.

Temperature adjustment was used to buffer against changes in external environmental temperature by a heating device. Two groups of honey bee colonies Apis mellifera anatoliaca were used: one as experimental (20) and the other control (10), which were equalized in terms of the number of brood frames, frames with bees, food, hive materials, and health treatments. The experimental colonies were heated during the cold season, and the temperature and humidity inside the hive were recorded.

Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRPs) have been specially developed to enhance the performance of commercial and military aircraft because of their strength, high stiffness-to-density ratios, and superior physical properties. On the other hand, fasteners and joints of CFRP materials may be weak due to occurring surface roughness and delamination problems during drilling operations. This study's aim is to investigate the drilling characterization of CFRPs with different drilling parameters and cutting tools.

A novel series of twelve aromatic bis-ureido-substituted benzenesulfonamides was synthesised by conjugation of aromatic aminobenzenesulfonamides with aromatic bis-isocyanates. The obtained bis-ureido-substituted derivatives were tested against four selected human carbonic anhydrase isoforms (hCA I, hCA II, hCA IX and hCA XII). Most of the new compounds showed an effective inhibitory profile against isoforms hCA IX and hCA XII, also having some selectivity with respect to hCA I and hCA II.

Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Erciyes University, 38030 Kayseri, Turkey; Technology Research & Application Center (TAUM), Erciyes University, 38039 Kayseri, Turkey.

Due to increasing industrialization and overpopulation, the amount of toxic metals is increasing in the environment, including air, soil, water, and food. Solid phase extraction is an efficient and ideal technique to preconcentrate the toxic metals before their measurements by analytical instruments. Russula brevipes was immobilized on γ-FeO magnetic nanoparticles and employed as a SPE sorbent to preconcentrate the trace level of Pb(II), Mn(II), and Co(II).

Department of Chemistry, Anadolu University, Eskişehir, Turkey. Electronic address:

A multistate biomemory device consisting of cytochrome c (Cyt-c) photosensitively cross-linked by MACys-Ru(bipyr)-MACys hapten molecules, which have memory effect through a charge transfer mechanism, has been developed. In this study, it has suggested a highly resolute surface-confined switch composed a signal-enhanced electro-active protein (Cyt-c) co-polymerized on the gold substrates that can be controlled by redox property through Ruthenium based cysteine monomer hapten, MACys-Ru(bipyr)-MACys as an ANADOLUCA photosensitive cross-linker. The photosensitive cross-linking of the Cyt-c protein on the gold surface topography has been determined by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

In metal cutting, the magnitude of the temperature at the tool-chip interface is a function of the cutting parameters. This temperature directly affects production; therefore, increased research on the role of cutting temperatures can lead to improved machining operations. In this study, tool temperature was estimated by simultaneous temperature measurement employing both a K-type thermocouple and an infrared radiation (IR) pyrometer to measure the tool-chip interface temperature.
