A new species of supergiant A. Milne-Edwards, 1879 (Crustacea, Isopoda, Cirolanidae) from Vietnam, with notes on the taxonomy of Kou, Chen & Li, 2017.

A new supergiant species of A. Milne-Edwards, 1879 from Vietnam is described. is characterised by its wide, rectangular clypeal region with parallel lateral margins, concave distal margin, and narrowly acute apex; the distally narrowing and posteriorly curved coxa of pereopod 7; and the presence of 11 upwardly curved pleotelson spines.

Integrative taxonomy reveals three new taxa within the complex (Caudata, Salamandridae) from Vietnam.

The complex from northern Vietnam is reviewed based on morphological comparisons and analysis of the mitochondrial marker NADH dehydrogenase subunit 2 (ND2). Results reveal that the population from Shiwandashan Nature Reserve in southern Guangxi, China belongs to , and represents the first national record for China; the populations from western Guangdong and southeastern Guangxi are described as a new species, We suggest that should be removed from the Chinese herpetofauna checklist. The new national record of and the description of the new species bring the total number of to 13 in China.
