Background: Bilirubin is a potent antioxidant that neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS). While previous studies have predominantly focused on the association between total bilirubin and cancer risk, this study evaluates the association of different bilirubin subgroups with cancer risk in men and women.
Methods: Data were derived from the Korean Cancer Prevention Study-II cohort, including 133,630 participants.

Introduction And Importance: Basal cell carcinoma is the most common non-melanoma skin cancer, tightly connected to ultraviolet exposure, and typically occurs on sun-exposed areas, including the nose. Reconstructing defects in the nasal tip following the removal of basal cell carcinoma lesions presents significant challenges, requiring a balance between completely removing the cancerous cells and achieving an optimal aesthetic result, especially since this area is central to the face.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a 62-year-old male patient with a 2 × 3 cm tumor located at the nasal tip, initially diagnosed as a benign vascular tumor based on clinical examination and imaging results.

Background: Cost-related nonadherence (CRN) to prescription medication has been shown to affect healthcare outcomes. While CRN has been reported in many countries globally, it has not been fully characterized in Vietnam.
Objectives: This study was conducted to determine CRN rates and factors associated with CRN among pharmacy customers in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

Introduction: Infertility is a major public health issue, with male factors alone contributing to 20-30% of cases. Non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) is the most severe form, and although techniques like microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) offer hope, it remains challenging due to its uncertain causes. This study investigates the correlation between testicular histopathology and clinical parameters to enhance sperm retrieval (SR) prediction.

Background: The increasing drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) poses a serious challenge to the current treatment. Antibiograms of this pathogen often take 3-5 days, and treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa keratitis (PAK) is mainly based on preliminary physical examination, clinical experience, and medical guidelines. Pertinent clinical data on the causative agent and antibiotics for high efficacy are essential for early recognition and subsequent treatment.

Wastewater treatment based on microalgae and bacteria symbiosis is an environmentally friendly, sustainable technology that has attracted attention recently because of its high efficiency in treating pollutants, saving energy, and short-term biomass recovery. Among them, the granular microalgae and bacteria combination emerges with the advantages of rapid gravity settling, good resistance to adverse environmental conditions, outstanding wastewater treatment performance, and easy biomass recovery. This review aims to clarify the microalgal-bacterial granule (MBG) - based process for wastewater treatment.

An automatic programming tool has become an essential component in virtual fabrication in recent years. This paper aims to propose a methodology of virtual fabrication for semiconductor devices and design a tool called Technology Computer-Aided Design Automatic Simulation (TCADAS) which can perform a completely virtual fabrication, device simulation, process variation, and output extraction. Especially, the TCADAS tool eliminates drudgery when studying semiconductor devices such as complexity in setting inputs, substantial manual work, and long run time of simulations.

Exhaust gases from the smelting furnace have high temperature and mass flow rate, and there is huge potential to use them for energy-related purposes such as electricity generation, cooling and heating. Utilization of the gases for energy-related purposes would lead to fuel savings and emissions reduction. To use this potential, it is necessary to design proper systems and cycles and apply a heat recovery unit.

This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of UEMR and CEMR in managing LSTs measuring 10-30 mm.
Methods: A post hoc analysis was performed on 88 patients with 88 colorectal LSTs, who were randomly assigned to two treatment groups: 42 with CEMR and 46 with UEMR.

This study aims to explore the feasibility of replacing traditional components, such as Portland cement, river sand and tap water with sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA), polypropylene (PP) fibers, and sea sand-seawater (SSSW) in lightweight foamed concrete (LWFC) production. SCBA was used in the range from 0 to 15% as cement replacement, and PP fibers were used with dosage from 0% to 1% by volume of LWFC. Meanwhile, SSSW was used to completely replace river sand and tap water.

This study presents a novel approach to accurately predict the settlement of shallow foundations using advanced machine learning techniques while assessing the influence of key variables. Four machine learning models Gradient Boosting (GB), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) are enhanced with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for hyperparameter tuning, resulting in hybrid models GB-PSO, RF-PSO, SVM-PSO, and KNN-PSO. The experimental dataset comprises 189 samples, and model performance is rigorously evaluated through K-Fold Cross-Validation alongside R², RMSE, MAE, and MAPE metrics.

Colloidal quantum dots (QDs) are attractive gain materials owing to the wide range of accessible colors. However, the existing QD lasers struggle to combine technologically relevant metrics of low threshold and long operating duration with considerable output powers. Here a new class of full-color QD lasers are reported, featuring low threshold, uninterrupted operation for dozens of hours, and multimilliwatt output under quasi-steady-state pumping, by coupling the high-gain QDs with a double-clad pumping scheme.

Introduction: Meniscal injuries often occur in association with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Failure to detect meniscal tears in patients with ACL injuries can lead to more complex tears and make them more difficult to repair.
Objective: To determine the degree of correlation between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and knee arthroscopy in diagnosing meniscal injuries in patients with ACL tears.

The Anthropocene is posing extraordinary challenges for global agriculture. Agri-food production is increasingly impacted by concurrent biotic and abiotic stressors, climate-triggered pests or diseases, (pesticide) resistance breakdown and the unrelenting appearance of invasive biota. Farmers have relied upon simple, addon constitutive crop defenses and synthetic pesticides for decades, but those tools prove ever more defunct.
