Prognostic Impact of Bone Metastasis on Survival Outcomes in Patients with Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Treated by First Line Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors: A Propensity-Score Matching Analysis.

To investigate the effect of bone metastasis (BM) on survival outcomes in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) treated with first-line tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) by performing propensity-score matching (PSM) analysis. We retrospectively reviewed 1,151 patients with mRCC who were treated with first-line TKI from December 2006 to September 2016. After excluding 135 patients, 1,016 patients with mRCC were finally analyzed.

Variation between hospitals and reviewers in detection of adverse events identified through medical record review in Korea.

Objectives: This study utilized the method of medical record review to determine characteristics of adverse events that occurred in the inpatient units of hospitals in Korea as well as the variations in adverse events between institutions.

Comparison of changes of macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer defect between stable group and progression group in primary open-angle glaucoma.

Purpose: To compare the changes in macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) defect between stable and progression primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) groups.

Study Design: Retrospective observational study.

Methods: A total of 100 POAG eyes with localized retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) defect and corresponding macular GCIPL defect were selected for this study.

Primary effusion lymphoma (PEL) is a human herpes virus 8 (HHV8)-positive large B-cell neoplasm that presents as an effusion with no detectable tumor in individuals with human immunodeficiency virus infection or other immune deficiencies. In this study, we examined whether sleep quality is associated with MetS by analyzing 301 subjects, aged 20 years or over, without acute and severe illness who visited three primary care clinics.
