Background: ROS1 fusion is an infrequent, but attractive target for therapy in patients with metastatic non- small-cell lung cancer. In studies on mainly late-stage disease, the prevalence of ROS1 fusions is about 1-3%. In early-stage lung cancer ROS1 might also provide a fruitful target for neoadjuvant or adjuvant therapy.

Use of EQ-5D-5L for Assessing Patient-Reported Outcomes in a National Register for Specialized Rehabilitation.

Purpose: This unselected, population-based cohort study aimed to determine the level of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) at the time of diagnosis compared with a reference population and identify the demographic factors, psychosocial measures, and disease activity markers associated with HRQoL.

Methods: Adult patients newly diagnosed with CD or UC were prospectively enrolled. HRQoL was measured using the Short Form 36 (SF-36) and Norwegian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaires.

Retinal vascular structure independently predicts the initial treatment response in neovascular age-related macular degeneration.

Purpose: Prediction of the early treatment response is important in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). Hence, we aimed to test if non-invasive measurements of the retinal vascular structure were able to predict a successful outcome of initial intravitreal treatment.

Methods: In 58 eyes of 58 patients with treatment-naïve nAMD, advanced markers of retinal vascular structure were measured by Singapore I Vessel Assessment prior to initial intravitreal treatment with three monthly injections of aflibercept with subsequently categorization of patients as full treatment responders (FTR) or non/partial treatment responders (N/PR), with the former defined as loosing fewer than five Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study letters and having no residual intra- or subretinal fluid or macular haemorrhage.

Based on the susceptibility rates of Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella pneumoniae collected from outpatients aged 15 or older with symptoms of respiratory or urinary tract infections in several Microbiology Departments in Catalonia in 2021, penicillin V should be first choice for most respiratory tract infections, amoxicillin and clavulanate for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbations and a single dose of fosfomycin or a short-course nitrofurantoin should remain first-line treatments for uncomplicated urinary tract infections. Updated information on antimicrobial resistance for general practitioners is crucial for achieving appropriate empirical management of the most common infections by promoting more rational antibiotic use.

Decreasing incidence of stroke, ischaemic heart disease and dementia in Norway, 1990-2019, a Global Burden of Disease study: an opportunity.

Background And Purpose: The declining incidence of stroke, ischaemic heart disease (IHD) and dementia (the 'triple threat') in Norway encourages further investigation. The risks and trends of the three conditions were analysed using data from the Global Burden of Disease study.

Methods: Global Burden of Disease 2019 estimations were used for age-, sex- and risk-factor-specific incidence and prevalence of the 'triple threat', their risk-factor-attributed deaths and disability combined, their age-standardized rates per 100,000 population in 2019 and their changes during 1990-2019.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the 2015 introduction of prebiopsy magnetic resonance imaging of the prostate (MRI-P) as the standard of care for diagnosing prostate cancer (PCa) by the Norwegian public health care authorities. There were three specific objectives of this study: first, to evaluate the consequences of using different TNM manuals for clinical T-staging (cT-staging) in a national setting; second, to determine if the data reveals that MRI-P based cT-staging is superior to digital rectal examination (DRE)-based cT-staging compared with pathological T-stage (pT-stage) post radical prostatectomy; and third, to assess whether treatment allocations have changed over time.
