Occlusive lesions of the common femoral artery (CFA) and its bifurcation have traditionally been treated with open surgery. Although long-term patency rates after open surgery are excellent, such repairs are associated with substantial local and general morbidity. In recent years, different treatment options have emerged within percutaneous endovascular repair.

Introduction: Data on prior use of Tenecteplase versus Alteplase in acute stroke management by mechanical thrombectomy are controversial. Our primary objective was to make a comprehensive comparative assessment of clinical and angiographic efficacy and safety outcomes in a large prospective observational study.

Methods: We included stroke patients who were eligible for intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular thrombectomy between 2019 and 2021, from an ongoing registry in twenty comprehensive stroke centers in France.

Background: Depression and anxiety have increased in prevalence since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective: To evaluate the consumption of antidepressants and anxiolytics from 2012 to 2022 and the pandemic's potential impact in France.

Methods: We conducted an interrupted time series analysis of routine drug sales data (Medic'AM) from all French outpatient pharmacies from 2012 to 2022.

First-ever acute ischemic strokes in HIV-infected persons: A case-control study from stroke units.

Objective: The stroke risk for persons living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLHIVs) doubled compared to uninfected individuals. Stroke-unit (SU)-access, acute reperfusion therapy-use and outcome data on PLHIVs admitted for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) are scarce.

Methods: AIS patients admitted (01 January 2017 to 31 January 2021) to 10 representative Paris-area SUs were screened retrospectively from the National Hospitalization Database.

Introduction: Dietary intake of (poly)phenols has been linked to reduced adiposity and body weight (BW) in several epidemiological studies. However, epidemiological evidence on (poly)phenol biomarkers, particularly plasma concentrations, is scarce. We aimed to investigate the associations between plasma (poly)phenols and prospective BW change in participants from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) cohort.

Intravenous Thrombolysis before Complete Angiographic Reperfusion: Beyond Angiographic Assessment to Target Microvascular Obstruction?

Objective: Recent data have suggested that ineffective tissue reperfusion despite successful angiographic reperfusion was partly responsible for unfavorable outcomes after endovascular therapy (EVT) and might be modulated by intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) use before EVT. To specifically decipher the effect played by IVT before EVT, we compared the clinical and safety outcomes of patients who experienced a complete reperfusion at the end of EVT according to IVT use before EVT.

Methods: The Endovascular Treatment in Ischemic Stroke (ETIS) registry is an ongoing, prospective, observational study at 21 centers that perform EVT in France.

A new approach for cognitive impairment pattern in chronic kidney disease.

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with an elevated risk of neurocognitive disorders (NCDs). It remains unclear whether CKD-related NCDs have a specific cognitive pattern or are earlier-onset phenotypes of the main NCDs (vascular NCDs and Alzheimer's disease).

Methods: We used the Mini Mental State Examination score (MMSE) to assess cognitive patterns in 3003 CKD patients (stage 3-4) followed up over 5 years in the Chronic Kidney Disease-Renal Epidemiology and Information Network (CKD-REIN) cohort.

Tolerance and Oncological Outcomes of In-Field Reirradiation for Locally Recurrent Breast Cancer: A Long-Term Single-Center Experience.

Background: The management of cancer relapse in previously irradiated tissues is a challenging therapeutic issue. The aim of this work was to report our experience with breast reirradiation for locoregionally recurrent breast cancer.

Methods: All patients who underwent breast or chest wall in-field reirradiation at the Institut Curie, Paris, France, between 2003 and 2019, were identified.

Comparative Evaluation of Two Paclitaxel-Coated Stents in an Experimental Setting.

Introduction: Unlike paclitaxel-coated balloons, pre-clinical data comparing different paclitaxel-coated stents (PCSs) are weak. The study objective was to compare the features of the 2 main PCSs: Eluvia® (Boston Scientific, Marlborough, MA) versus ZilverPTX® (Cook Medical, Bloomington, IN).

Method: Analysis was carried out on 12 pigs divided into 2 groups: Eluvia® (n=6) and ZilverPTX® (n=6).

ASPECTS evolution after endovascular successful reperfusion in the early and extended time window.

Background: The Alberta Stroke Program Early CT scan Score (ASPECTS) is a reliable imaging biomarker of infarct extent on admission but the value of 24-hour ASPECTS evolution in day-to-day practice is not well studied, especially after successful reperfusion. We aimed to assess the association between ASPECTS evolution after successful reperfusion with functional and safety outcomes, as well as to identify the predictors of ASPECTS evolution.

Methods: We used data from an ongoing prospective multicenter registry.

Reconstruction of the sphenoid sinus erosion or dehiscence after treatment of unruptured intracavernous aneurysms with flow diverter stents.

Background: Intracavernous carotid aneurysms (ICCAs) are rare, frequently asymptomatic, with a low rupture risk, which, however, can lead to life-threatening epistaxis. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of the treatment of asymptomatic ICCAs with flow diverters (FD) on sphenoid bone erosion or dehiscence in a selected cohort of patients.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all asymptomatic ICCAs with sphenoid bone erosion or dehiscence detected on cone beam CT (CBCT) and treated with FD between December 2018 and December 2022.
