Article Synopsis
  • The study compared the quality of life (QOL) in patients with Buerger's disease and atherosclerosis obliterans (ASO), focusing on their experiences with chronic limb ischaemia.
  • Pain levels were lower for Buerger's patients at the start and after six months, indicating a better QOL in early stages compared to ASO patients; however, this diminished in cases of critical limb ischaemia.
  • Overall, while Buerger's disease negatively impacted QOL more significantly regarding pain, both diseases affected QOL similarly when critical limb ischaemia was present.
