The current investigation was conducted to assess the influence of tobacco cessation counseling on the quality of life linked to oral health and to identify obstacles to quitting among those who use tobacco. Methods This observational, follow-up study was carried out among patients referred to the tobacco cessation unit for the cessation of their smoking tobacco habit.

Estimation of MBC: MIC Ratio of Herbal Extracts against Common Endodontic Pathogens.

Herbal extracts have evoked interest owing to the small number of terpenoids and phenolic compounds, which impart antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. The antimicrobial activity by detecting the MIC of three essential oils and tea extract was evaluated against eight common endodontic pathogens by the broth dilution method, while MBC was detected by subculturing onto blood agar from the first -three to five tubes from the MIC dilution tubes (showing no turbidity), which were plated on blood agar.

Comparative evaluation of webinar, powerpoint presentation and lecture as oral health educational interventions among school children: a randomized controlled trial.

The study compared the effectiveness of three teaching methods on the oral health status of high school children. The study population of 791 school children selected from three different schools was randomly allocated to one of three intervention groups: (i) Webinar group (Online presentation)-260 subjects, (ii) Face to Face lecture using PowerPoint presentation (F2F PP group)-261 subjects and (iii) Control group (Only lecture)-270 subjects.
