Epidermoid cyst of the midline neck in an 8-year-old girl: A case report.

Epidermoid cysts (ECs) are usually small, benign, keratin-filled cysts, can be congenital or acquired and encountered anywhere in the body. EC and dermoid cyst constitute approximately 7% of all cysts in the head and neck region and tend to occur in areas of embryonic fusion. Neck masses are commonly present in children, and there is often a diagnostic dilemma clinically with common differential diagnoses of this region such as thyroglossal cyst, pre-tracheal lymph nodes, thyroid mass, EC and dermoid cyst.

Understanding the approach to interpretation and challenges in measurement of pathological depth of invasion in oral squamous cell carcinoma: A cross-sectional survey of oral and maxillofacial pathologists in India.

Objectives: To understand the approach to interpretation along with challenges encountered in assessing pathological depth of invasion (pDOI) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) as per 8 Edition of TNM-AJCC staging among oral and maxillofacial pathologists in India.

Method And Materials: A cross-sectional web-based survey was conducted (May 2021-October 2021) with a pre-validated 21-item questionnaire. Responses were stored in a Microsoft Excel worksheet and analysed by descriptive statistics using SPSS v 25.

Transepidermal elimination (TE) is a well-known phenomenon by which dermal materials are expelled through an active epithelial-dermal connective tissue interaction. It has been associated with many cutaneous disorders and described as a regular or sporadic occurrence in a variety of dermatologic conditions. TE as a means of expulsion by skin, either externally introduced or endogenously generated foreign material, is well recognized but rarely appreciated phenomenon.

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia on lip in a 10-year-old girl.

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) is an uncommon benign vascular lesion that is clinically characterized as papule or nodule and commonly found in the head-and-neck areas although rarely involve oral cavity. The etiology of ALHE is currently unknown, and various hypotheses include a reactive vascular proliferation, vascular malformation or neoplasm. ALHE is mostly occurs in middle-aged females and rare in children.

Compact osteoma of the maxilla: A rare case report.

Assessment of palatal rugae pattern and its significance in orthodontics and forensic odontology.

Background: Palatal rugae are nonidentical mucosal elevations seen on anterior third of palate. They are arranged in transverse direction on either side of the mid-palatine raphe. Aim: The present study is an attempt to compare and evaluate postoperative assessment of diode laser zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE) pulpotomy and diode laser mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) pulpotomy procedures in children.

Materials And Methods: Forty carious primary molars indicated for pulpotomy within the age group of 4-9 years were selected and divided into two groups of 20 each using simple randomization, Group 1: Diode laser MTA and Group 2: Diode laser ZOE pulpotomy. The teeth were evaluated clinically for 1 year at 3, 6, and 12 months interval and radiologically for 6 and 12 months.

Background: Although human papillomavirus (HPV) is considered as a causative factor in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCCs), its pathogenetic role is not well established.
