Evaluation of dysmenorrhea changes in patients undergoing cervical dilatation: Does it work?

Objective: To demonstrate that cervical dilation will relieve symptoms in women with primary dysmenorrhea.

Materials And Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, 30 patients were included in the study group and 30 patients were included in the control group. Age, sex, occupation, education level, duration of dysmenorrhea, and presence of dyspareunia were recorded for all patients.

A retrospective epidemiological analysis of maxillofacial fractures at a tertiary referral hospital in istanbul: a seven-year study of 1,757 patients.

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the etiology, incidence, demographics, and characteristics of maxillofacial fractures treated at a university hospital over a seven-year period.

Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 1,757 patients with maxillofacial fractures who were referred to our department between May 2012 and March 2019. The patients' demographic and clinical characteristics were noted, as well as the fracture type, location, and etiology.

Toluene Inhalant Addiction and Cardiac Functions in Young Adults: A Comparison of Electrocardiographic and Echocardiographic Parameters.

Background: Volatile substance (thinner) addiction can cause serious cardiac events, such as malignant ventricular arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, sudden death syndrome, and dilated cardiomyopathy, as reported in many case studies. We aimed to find echocardiographic and electrocardiographic parameters that could foresee these adverse outcomes in clinical settings.

Methods: We enrolled 32 healthy young adult patients with at least 1 year of thinner addiction and no cardiac symptoms.

Urge Symptoms after Vaginal Uterosacral Plication in Urinary Incontinence Patients without Proximal Urethral Mobility: A Prospective Study.

Introduction: The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of vaginal uterosacral plication on urge symptoms and quality of life in a cohort of patients with uterosacral ligament insufficiency and urge symptoms.

Methods: A total of 40 female patients were included in the study, and their posterior fornix was supported with gauze to simulate the surgical procedure. Uterosacral plication was applied to patients who experienced a decrease in urinary incontinence, nocturia, a sense of urgency, and a decrease in urge urinary incontinence symptoms or complete recovery.

A randomized prospective comparison of the needleless mini-sling "hammock" and "U-shape" configurations for management of stress urinary incontinence: 60-month follow-up results.

Objective: To compare needleless mini-slings placed in a retropubic (U-shape) or trans-obturator (hammock-shape) configuration for treating stress urinary incontinence at 60th month.

Methods: All surgeries, conducted by a senior surgeon, involved objective and subjective assessments preoperatively and at 6, 12, 18, and 60 months postoperatively using cough-stress tests, ICIQ-SF, PGI-I, and a Likert scale.

Results: After 60 months, no significant differences were found in cure rates, mesh complications, or reinterventions between U-shaped and hammock-shaped groups.

Background White blood cell count (WBC) and mean platelet volume (MPV) have been shown to be hematologic parameters of prognostic significance in acute coronary syndrome. We sought to determine the relationship between the WBC/MPV ratio (WMR), coronary artery disease (CAD) complexity, and long-term clinical outcomes in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Hypothesis WMR has a relationship with the complexity of CAD and long-term clinical outcomes in NSTEMI patients.

Effect of fracture level on the residual fracture gap during tibial intramedullary nailing for tibial shaft fractures.

Introduction: The development of fracture gap during intramedullary nailing in tibial fractures is associated with poor fracture fragment contact and increased time to union and complications. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the fracture level in the development of the fracture gap and the effect of the fracture gap on pain, radiologic and functional outcomes, and complication rate.

Material And Method: A total of 45 patients who underwent reamed intramedullary nailing due to closed transverse or short oblique tibial shaft fractures were divided into the proximal fracture group and the distal fracture group.

Pregnant women's knowledge about and beliefs toward COVID-19 vaccine: a cross-sectional study.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the scope of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of pregnant women about the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine.

Method: This prospective cohort study included 41 low-risk pregnant women with fetus in singleton-vertex. The IU assessment to diagnose asynclitism was performed during labor at two specific steps, including the suspicion and/or diagnosis of labor arrest.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients with idiopathic scoliosis who presented at our department and were followed up for at least 2 years after completing the treatment.

Objective: Lumbar spinal stenosis is defined as a clinical syndrome characterized by neurogenic claudication or radicular pain due to the narrowing of the spinal canal or neural foramen and the compression of its neural elements. Methods: This study comprised a retrospective examination of patients who received percutaneous vertebroplasty between 2008 and 2020 for the treatment of tumor-induced symptomatic cervical vertebra involvement. Omalizumab versus cyclosporin-A for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria: can we define better-responding endotypes?

Background: Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) is characterized by recurrent wheals and/or angioedema for longer than 6-weeks. Guidelines recommend Omalizumab (Oma) as first-line and Cyclosporine-A (Cs-A) as second-line treatment in antihistamine resistant CSU. This step-wise algorithm might be time-consuming and costly.

Clinical results of free vascularized fibula graft in the management of precollapse osteonecrosis of the femoral head: A retrospective clinical study.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate clinical results, femoral head survival, and the need for total hip arthroplasty (THA) in patients with precollapse osteonecrosis of the femoral head (OFH) (Steinberg stage II and III) treated by free vascularized fibula graft (FVFG) application.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 54 hips of 47 patients (39 males, eight females; mean age 36 ± 14 years) who underwent FVFG due to OFH, with at least two years of follow-up. The patient data, including Harris Hip Score (HHS), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and conversion to THA, were documented.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on bone regenerate consolidation in a rabbit model of distraction osteogenesis.

Methods: In this study, 12 male New Zealand rabbits weighing 1600 to 2000 g were used. All the rabbits were randomly divided into two groups (n = 6 per group): PRP group and control group.

Validation of the Vulvovaginal Symptom Questionnaire in Turkish women with genitourinary syndrome of menopause.

Objective: This study aims to psychometrically validate the Turkish version of the Vulvovaginal Symptom Questionnaire (VSQ).

Methods: Postmenopausal women with and without genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) were included as the target population and the control group. Psychometric properties were validated both for sexually active (21 items) and passive women (16 items).
