Introduction/background: The natural history of prostate imaging reporting and data system (PIRADS) score 2 lesions on serial mpMRIs is largely unknown. Herein, we aimed to evaluate the patients with PIRADS-2 index lesions by using serial mpMRI scans to reveal the rates of mpMRI upgrade in PIRADS score and prostate cancer (PCa) detection.
Methods/materials: All mpMRI scans with a PIRADS-2 index lesion from our mpMRI database were evaluated retrospectively.

Introduction: Ileostomy, frequently created after colorectal resections, hinders the physiologic function of the colon and can lead to dehydration and acute kidney injury due to high stoma outputs. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures on ileostomy-induced dehydration and related readmissions in a high-volume unit.
Methods: In this prospective cohort study at a high-volume colorectal surgery department in Turkiye, the Prospective Ileostomy-induced Dehydration Prevention Bundle Project (PIDBP) was assessed from March 2021 to March 2022.

This study aimed to enhance the accuracy of Gleason grade group (GG) upgrade prediction in prostate cancer (PCa) patients who underwent MRI-guided in-bore biopsy (MRGB) and radical prostatectomy (RP) through a combined analysis of prebiopsy and MRGB clinical data. A retrospective analysis of 95 patients with prostate cancer diagnosed by MRGB was conducted where all patients had undergone RP. Among the patients, 64.

Background: We aimed to analyze the effect of preoperative risk assessment including Ga-68 PSMA PET and multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) on nerve sparing practices, positive surgical margin (PSM) rates and oncological outcomes based on a comparison between patients underwent RARP with and without Neurosafe (NS).
Methods: Patients underwent RARP with NS (RARP-NS) or without (RARP-only) NS retrospectively evaluated. Suspicion for extracapsular extension on mpMRI and/or Ga-68 PSMA PET was recorded as i(imaging)T3.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinicopathologic associations of tumor budding (Bd) as well as other potential prognosticators including lymphovascular invasion (LVI) in T3/4aN0 colon cancer patients and to investigate their impact on the outcome.
Methods: The patients were enrolled in three groups according to the number of budding as Bd1 (0-4 buds), Bd2 (5-9 buds), and Bd3 (> 10 buds). These groups were retrospectively compared in terms of demographic features, other tumor characteristics, operative outcomes, recurrences, and survival.

Context: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted positron emission tomography (PET) has superior accuracy for detection of metastatic lesions in patients with prostate cancer (PC). Although PSMA PET has a prominent role in primary and secondary imaging of PC, data on its role in assessing treatment response in advanced PC are limited.
Objective: To review current data in the literature regarding the impact of antiandrogen therapy on PSMA expression of metastatic sites and the role of serial (baseline and at least 1 follow-up scan) PSMA PET to assess treatment response in patients with metastatic PC.

Purpose: Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) is recommended for residual masses following chemotherapy for non-seminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCT). Recently, aberrant recurrence patterns were reported in patients who underwent robotic RPLND. We aimed to evaluate perioperative safety in addition to functional and early oncological outcomes of postchemotherapy robotic RPLND (pcR-RPLND) for NSGCT.

Objective: The aim of this study is to compare systematic, cognitive fusion, in-bore, and software fusion prostate biopsies regarding rates of and risk factors for pathological upgrading.
Material And Methods: Charts of 291 patients with systematic biopsy (n = 105), magnetic resonance imaging- targeted cognitive fusion (n = 58), in-bore (n = 68), and software fusion biopsy (n = 60), and who subsequently underwent radical prostatectomy were retrospectively evaluated. The degree of similarity between the grade groups reported in the biopsy and radical prostatectomy pathology results was recorded.

Background And Objectives: Robotic radical cystectomy (RARC) with intracorporeal urinary diversion is a technically complicated, time-consuming procedure. The aim of this study was to present the operative, pathological, oncological, and functional outcomes of patients who underwent endopelvic fascia sparing (EPFS) RARC with intracorporeal Studer pouch formation. To the best of our knowledge, this is first series in the literature that includes EPFS RARC.

Background: The detection rate of clinically significant prostate cancer has improved with the use of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI). Yet, even with MRI-guided biopsy 15%-35% of high-risk lesions (Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System [PI-RADS] 4 and 5) are histologically benign. It is unclear if these false positives are due to diagnostic/sampling errors or pathophysiological alterations.

We present operative, postoperative, oncologic and functional outcomes of genital tract sparing robot-assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy, bilateral extended pelvic lymph node (LN) dissection and intracorporeal Studer pouch construction on five female patients with bladder cancer. One of the cases had concomitant nephroureterectomy performed due to a non-functioning kidney. Median patient age, mean operation time, median estimated blood loss and mean duration of hospital stay were 59 (39-78), 462 ± 25, 400 (50-970), 8.

Purpose: In lung adenocarcinoma cases, 'spread through air spaces' (STAS) is a new indicator of invasion and directly related to disease survival. The aim of our study is to establish whether a preoperatively performed 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/computed tomography (CT) imaging data can predict the presence of STAS in cases with lung adenocarcinoma and thus predict the decision for the type of surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy.
Materials And Methods: Between 2000 and 2019, we retrospectively analyzed 63 patients with lung adenocarcinoma cases that had undergone lobectomy or pneumonectomy.
