Aim: To investigate the outcomes and the effect sizes of ethical leadership in nursing practice.

Background: Many meta-analysis of ethical leadership have been conducted in other fields, but there are none for the effects of ethical leadership of nurse leaders and should be investigated.

Evaluation: For a systematic literature review, we searched PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, CINAHL, OVID, Web of Science and Korean databases for studies published in Korean or English.

iProm-Zea: A two-layer model to identify plant promoters and their types using convolutional neural network.

Genomics

May 2022

School of International Engineering and Science, Jeonbuk National University, Jeonju 54896, Republic of Korea. Electronic address:

A promoter is a short DNA sequence near the start codon, responsible for initiating the transcription of a specific gene in the genome. The accurate recognition of promoters is important for achieving a better understanding of transcriptional regulation. Because of their importance in the process of biological transcriptional regulation, there is an urgent need to develop in silico tools to identify promoters and their types in a timely and accurate manner.

In this non-equivalent control group, non-synchronized study, we assessed the effects of an education-counseling program for young prehypertensive adults. We included 40 and 47 prehypertensive individuals in the experimental and control groups, respectively. A structured questionnaire (pretest) was used to assess prehypertension-related knowledge, attitudes, health-promoting behavior, and self-efficacy.

BrainSeg-Net: Brain Tumor MR Image Segmentation via Enhanced Encoder-Decoder Network.

Diagnostics (Basel)

January 2021

Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Jeonbuk National University, Jeonju 54896, Korea.

Efficient segmentation of Magnetic Resonance (MR) brain tumor images is of the utmost value for the diagnosis of tumor region. In recent years, advancement in the field of neural networks has been used to refine the segmentation performance of brain tumor sub-regions. The brain tumor segmentation has proven to be a complicated task even for neural networks, due to the small-scale tumor regions.

In this work, we aimed to manufacture and characterize carbon-fiber-polymer-metal-particles magnetic composites with a sandwichlike structure. The composites were manufactured by stacking the plain woven carbon fiber prepregs (or carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP)) and layers of the FeSi particles. The layer of FeSi particles were formed by evenly distributing the FeSi powder on the surface of carbon fiber prepreg sheet.

N4-methylcytosine as one kind of modification of DNA has a critical role which alters genetic performance such as protein interactions, conformation, stability in DNA as well as the regulation of gene expression same cell developmental and genomic imprinting. Some different 4mC site identifiers have been proposed for various species. Herein, we proposed a computational model, DNC4mC-Deep, including six encoding techniques plus a deep learning model to predict 4mC sites in the genome of , , and Cross-species dataset.

Reproducibility of regional pulse wave velocity in healthy subjects.

Korean J Intern Med

March 2009

Department of Medical Equipment Information, Vision College of Jeonju, Jeonju, Korea.

Background/aims: Despite the clinical importance and widespread use of pulse wave velocity (PWV), there are no standards for pulse sensors or for system requirements to ensure accurate pulse wave measurement. We assessed the reproducibility of PWV values using a newly developed PWV measurement system.

Methods: The system used in this study was the PP-1000, which simultaneously provides regional PWV values from arteries at four different sites (carotid, femoral, radial, and dorsalis pedis).
