Background: The open Latarjet procedure yields excellent results as a treatment for anterior shoulder instability. The position of the bony fragment and the insertion angle of the screw (the alpha angle) are critical factors for a successful procedure. The alpha angle is considered overangulated at >25°, which is associated with poor bone fixation and healing.

Materials And Methods: We fabricated high-throughput BCOC with microfluidic systems, enabling efficient drug screening. The efficacy of rBCG-dltA was evaluated using BCOC by the cell viability assay, monocyte migration assay, and measuring cytokine levels.

A Case Report of Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease Using F-FDG PET and F-FBB PET.

We describe a 40-year-old female patient who presented with sleep disturbance, intermittent headache, and gradual subjective cognitive decline. F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) showed mild FDG hypometabolism in bilateral parietal and temporal lobes. However, F-florbetaben (FBB) amyloid PET revealed diffuse amyloid retention in the lateral temporal cortex, frontal cortex, posterior cingulate cortex/precuneus, parietal cortex, and cerebellum.

We describe a case of F-FDG PET/CT detecting septic pulmonary emboli in a patient with catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI). The patient, who had an implantable venous access port for chemotherapy, underwent F-FDG PET/CT to diagnose unsuspected infectious foci. The PET/CT examination made it possible to offer a suggestive diagnosis and yielded metastatic infectious foci.

Differential diagnosis of patients with atypical Parkinsonian syndrome using F-FDG and F-FP CIT PET: A report of five cases.

We describe 5 cases of patients who presented atypical parkinsonian syndrome (APS), including gait disturbance, postural instability, decreasing facial expression, dyskinesia, and subjective cognitive impairment. The patients underwent F-FP-CIT PET and F-FDG PET consecutively for differential diagnosis of APS. Through PET imaging examination, it was possible to offer a suggestive diagnosis and determine individual strategic management for patients with APS.

Purpose: This study investigated the accuracy of full-arch intraoral scans obtained by various scan strategies with the segmental scan and merge methods.

Materials And Methods: Seventy intraoral scans (seven scans per group) were performed using 10 scan strategies that differed in the segmental scan (1, 2, or 3 segments) and the scanning motion (straight, zigzag, or combined). The three-dimensional (3D) geometric accuracy of scan images was evaluated by comparison with a reference image in an image analysis software program, in terms of the arch shape discrepancies.
